Things usually do slide where they will. And I am breathing just fine and loving my Lord and Savior all at the same time. Pretty amazing.

No, in finding God and your true self - it ads perspective and understanding. I have always been pretty light...and with finding God and my self, I have been able to let things slide much more than possible without.
