I have a question for "Christian druids". I know many of you may think this can not be. I'm trying to learn more about the druid ways. I am a Christian. My best friend is Wiccan. For years I have struggled with not Christianity, but Christians themselves. I find that many are intolerable. For many years I was turned off from the faith because of other Christians. They made me feel outcast because I didn't' "conform" to all that they thought I should. Well to make a long story short, my wiccan friend and I were talking about my religion and I was telling her how alone I feel. I believe in God. I believe in Jesus Christ. I also believe that the Lord gave us "tools" so to speak to better our lives and to become more in touch with the world and him. I believe the world is so very precious. Every living life form is sacred. I believe that nature is so very alive, more than most people would think. My Wiccan friend said I seem to have almost a druid ideology.

I have heard different things about it and would like to know exactly what it means... does it just mean that you don't know if there is a god or not. That you aren't accepting or denying it, you just aren't sure?

Man-made theories do more harm to faith and Christianity than anything else. I believe in God that is supreme in the Universe, but without man-made decorations and descriptions; but I do not have faith in holy epics. Most of my questions get quotes from it. Why all of us do not utilize our own God-gifted intelligence than depending on age-old antics. Our conclusions may not be right, but that does not prevent us from applying our thoughts. Kindly do not take me either as an atheist or an arrogant being.

Ferdinand Columbus, son of Christopher writes in 1504:

"At the rising of the moon the eclipse began ... The Indians observed it, and were so frightened that with cries and lamentations they ran from every side to the ships ... (begging) the Admiral by all means to intercede for the with God that he might not make them feel the effects of His wrath, and promised for the future, diligently to bring all he had need of ... From that time forward they always took care to provide us with all that was necessary, ever praising the God of the Christians."

Personally I believe that much of the Bible is written in an an indepth manner. Much of it I think has more than one meaning behind it without devaluing or adversely affecting the other meanings.

I wonder (in the south, Texas...Oklahoma...etc), do people thats against homosexual know that theres more than one type of gay guy. Everyone here seems to think only the queen type of gay guys existed (girly...weak). People here in Fort Worth, Tx also act like bisexual guys don't even exist. You never hear about no one talkin about a guy being bisexual...hes either gay or straight in of story! Get what I'm saying!?!

Campus crusade (para church) have a ministry training to become a staff every year. If I miss out on the opportunity, I am not sure what's gonna happen because most people have one opportunity after they graduate. I've been constantly thinking and praying about it. If I had the heart, is it better to do it right away and raise self support believing that other people would support? or is it better to take a year off, work and if I think God is calling me still then do it then? most funding for my previous year for mission came from family & relatives. if they dont or not supportive of me financially of becoming a staff, what is God's will? trust God that fund will still come in? or take a year off and work? and see it then? My church dont have enough people to hire someone as paid staff now. will they like it if I still send out my supporter's letter? do I look at circumstances or have faith and just do it? what would be the reality be? anyone with ministry experience? help please

I just came up with this idea after having watched the videos called bumfights... I've found Dr Phil's refusal to interviewing this guest:

I personally have no hatred against any human being, indeed any single one. But why do some people hate certain group of people and abuse their human dignity? Where on earth does the evil mind come from?

I am very scared. Yes, I am sure there are more people who are generous and decent than the distracted ones. But, anyhow I am living in the same world where those number of risky people and disasters keep occurring, and thus I feel insecure with this unstable world.

And I feel so compassionate about the innocent and poor victims who had to be tortured by those sadistic wrongdoers. It is such a pity that the victims (homeless people, little kids, battered women, etc) are totally isolated from the protective institutions and supportive organizations..

Non-catholics such as myself see no point in confession. We believe, and rightly so, we do not need a priest to confess. However is there a benefit to confessing? Does telling someone else your sins help you? Is it possible there is a psychological benefit to confessing?

A second question so I get my 5 points worth. I was once told by a Catholic that actually hearing someone say their sins are forgiven is important to many Catholics. Does this make Catholics more like Thomas who would not believe until he actually saw Jesus? Protestants confess to God and with no verbal confirmation believe our sins are forgiven. While Catholics rely on being told they are forgiven verbally. What do you think?
