I would reallu like to help my dear friend out, today he mentioned that life is throwing him a lot of financial curveballs & when I asked if he needed help he jokingly asked if I had $1000 just laying around.
I know he wont give me a straight answer if I asked how much he really needs so I thought about stopping by his work "to visit while I'm in town" & handing him a envelope; good or bad idea? Got anything better??

I remember the church leaders standing on the porch to the church swearing a blue streak among themselves. That's when I decided to stop going to church.

This is for everyone who has gone/goes to church. If you have never been in a church in your life, what do you remember from the very last circle, mosque, synagogue, temple,etc. meeting?

now i know some of you may be like what in the world do you want him for? but God is my redeemer, restorer, my everything and I have to believe that with prayer, fasting, faith, and patience and praising/worshipping the Almighty God will work it out His way, His time.

The Dalai Lama's condemnation of tiger skinning in Tibet stopped this ingrained cultural practice in it's tracks.

As far as I can see a pope has never used the persuading power of religion to convince the devoutly catholic population of Brazil of the importance of conserving the Amazon.

Hasn't this ever occurred to anyone?

I was at a fancy restaurant and she was the manager! she told me that she loved dating Women because she is bisexual! She first made some coments about my eyes and my lips put her hand in mine and then asked me out! I told her that I was so very grateful and humbled for being asked out , but told her that I had no interest at this time! what was even more astonishing was that she had not one but two crosses around her neck! so here is my Question ! - how are homosexuals Christians even though the religion and it's members blast these poor ppl for their sexual orientation?

I just don't understand why you'd basically want to believe that your meaningless? like if you died right now you have no effect on anything what so ever, your basically fertilizer! Isn't that depressing? Why are you so against religious people? I mean if we're wrong so what? I mean in MY understanding elvolution has caused a lot of problems for millions of people resulting in their death, for example I've read several scientific articles saying that African Americans are less evolved that cocasians? Are you comfortable following a theory that states that? Hitler slaughtered all those jews because of social darwinism, survival of the fittest? Does that not disturb you in the slightest?

I came across quite an easter egg in life. I want to know if it works for all people. First let me tell you that it is a lot like those magic eye illusion paintings. Okay, so to see anything invisible try focusing and unfocusing your eyes to "try" to see invisible things in large public places (i.e. mall, park, theaters) for a week. I want to know if any one else came across the same experiences that I came across.... I was just messing around with my eyes in the mall and i started to notice "outlines." Try it and see if you can "see" what I saw. I even "took" what I saw home with me.

i have asked the question before , but never really got any logical answers. Does anyone know what this number means, particuarlly in relation to political/occult related events such as the reichstag building fire, september 11th 2001, the madrid bombings, the bali bombings etc which all seem to be related time and time again to the number 11? Does it have something to do with the two pillars of solomons temple?

Therefore, we shouldn't be trying to blindly convert people to atheism. Instead, us atheists should try to encourage skepticism and critical thinking, and people will naturally start to realize the fallacy of their faith and religion, and become atheists on their own.

I am a firm believer in the Qur'an and Allah. Thank Allah my faith and trust in Him grows each day. My concern is this: the Qur'an mentions over and over the blessings of Heaven. It repeatedly mentions beautiful, pure maidens as a bounty of Heaven. People often say Islam is a male dominance religion.
Why is there not mention of rewards for women?

Ive just had an argument with a christian who claims she follows the Bible,no exceptions..therefore she donates 10% of her income,
Im all for tithing that is wonderfull,our argument was this
suppose you were barely making ends meet,say you made 200 week,therefore,you are required (she says the bible says)to give 20$ a week,that should come before ANYTHING else

I understand it coming before such things as a new pair of shoes,going to the movies etc...but i asked her
if that 20$ was the money you needed to put food in your childs mouth,wihout it,the child would go hungry,would you still give it to your church,over feeding your child
she said yes,absolutly,!!!
I then asked her if she was a mother,to which she said not yet,but her decision would be the same
what are your thoughts

how many of you would donate to your church before you bought your childs groceries for that week???
