Be Thankful
By Author Unknown

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something,
for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations,
because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge,
because it will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes. They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you're tired and weary,
because it means you've made a difference.

It's easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who
are also thankful for the setbacks.
Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles,
and they can become your blessings.

My troop wants everyone with a leadership position to attend the PLC's and if they don't meet the required percentage of the plc's they cant have there leadership position. I have been missing a majority of them, but i have actively participated in everything else. According to the BSA website only the Patrol leaders and a few others mentioned are supposed to go, but the scribe is not mentioned. Several troop websites also don't have the scribe go. Can anyone help me?

Is it just me, or has 2007 been full of racial tension towards ethnic minorities?

*Jena 6
*The Mike Vick lynching
*Don Imus
*Genarlow Wilson
*Noose hanging craze
*Dog the Bounty Hunter
*O.J.

Etc, etc.

What's going on? Is America about to revert back to 1955?

Seems like there is a consensus right now to NOT mask feelings when it comes to this particular group of people.

Okay, so I went shopping for a formal dress wth my grandma a few weeks ago for my 16th B-day. It's long, black, flowy, a few little flowers down the side. Very pretty. My grandma was raving about it.

The thing is, it's strapless. It does not show cleavage or anything, just my shoulders and upper back. It doesn't look sexual to me, and my grandma and both of my parents aproved that it was indeed modest. It has a tight elastic and doesn't feel like it's going to fall down.

But, I am a christian, and don't want to tempt my guyfriends who are struggling with lust to sin. I personaly don't think my shoulders and upper back is very sexual, just one of the more atractive parts of my body, but I'm not a guy, so I don't know if they struggle in their minds when they see a strapless dress or not. I've heard that some do.

Please tell me, guys, if you would struggle at all by seeing a average, kinda slender, not esspecialy well-endowed girl in a strapless dress.

I want your opinion on the Church of Christ. I please ask that you don't form your opinions off those churches that are a part of the Boston Restoration Movement. (i.e.- churches with instrumental music, preach on an earthly kingdom for eternity, ect.) No profanity please!

I was the first one of our BIG group of friends to get married. We are all very close, we're just a big family. Several of us live out of town, so each year we get together for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We always held the events at our house (my husband and I) as a way to get every one together. We do lots of decorating and cooking and really enjoy this as the "main event" of the season.
This year, one of the girls is getting married and has asked if she can host Christmas in the future. I really put a lot of effort into this each year, and we invite other people she doesn't know.
I feel like this will make every thing inconvenient. The girl who is getting married causes a lot of drama most of the time and I feel it just wouldn't be the same if we broke tradition now and started swapping up every year. There's so many of us, (close to 20) if each of us hosted it once a year, we would lose track in a few years! How do I handle this politely?

If the soul and the body are the same thing why does this verse mention both? If they are the same thing wouldn't this be repetitive and pointless?

1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Doesn't this contradict what scripture says? In the verse below Jesus specifically says He has flesh and bones which a spirit does not. He is in essence saying He is not a spirit. So why do you deny the physical resurrection?

Luke 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have
