Is it just me, or has 2007 been full of racial tension towards ethnic minorities?

*Jena 6
*The Mike Vick lynching
*Don Imus
*Genarlow Wilson
*Noose hanging craze
*Dog the Bounty Hunter
*O.J.

Etc, etc.

What's going on? Is America about to revert back to 1955?

Seems like there is a consensus right now to NOT mask feelings when it comes to this particular group of people.

In comes the denial from the delusional people.

Really, you aren't going to get the answer that you want from these people. In their minds racism doesn't exist. It's all in black peoples' heads. Everyone lives in perfect harmony now and no one treats anyone unfairly, especially not on the basis of their skin color. I can't count the number of times I've read "There aren't even that many racists anymore." That's hilarious. There are just as many racists around now as there were in the 60s and they're starting to become as vocal as the pricks in the 60s as well.

They call themselves "fighting for their rights" against political correctness but what they're really doing is just coming out about their true feelings towards people and in the most possible outrageous manner. I myself wish that political correctness would go away because it's having the opposite effect. It's provoking people to be politically incorrect just for the hell of it. It's provoking young people to hang nooses on trees just to get a rise out of it. It's provoking people to do things they KNOW are wrong, just to prove that they have the right to do them. They're like bad teenagers who always do the opposite of what you tell them to do just to prove that they can.

It won't end anytime soon. I just hope it doesn't get any worse.

It definitely has been a rough year. And d g, you are a truly insensitive!!! How can you say that Genarlow Wilson is a criminal? Yes, he is in jail, but not everyone in jail is guilty. For those of you who don't know Genarlow Wilson, he was a 17 year old star football player who had a 3.2 GPA. who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for having CONSENSUAL (yup that's right, it wasn't rape) oral sex with a 15 year old girl. Under Georgia law of the time, he would have gotten less than a year (if anything) if he had full intercourse with her. Sounds twisted huh? Well, even some on the prosecutorial side thought it was unfair.

EDIT: D G, where in any of my previous statements do you see the word black? I'm not defending a criminal just because he is black, I am defending a young man who many people (including Jimmy Carter and a judge who tried to overturn his sentenced) think got dealt a bad hand. I would keep battling brain power with you but from you what you have said so far, I can tell you are unarmed. Grow up!!!!

If disliking criminals means one is racist then all people should be racist. Jena 6 - criminals, Mike Vick - criminal, genarlow wilson - criminal, O. J. - criminal.

Wilson is a criminal because he committed a criminal sex act. It doesn't matter that the 15 year old girl consented. Stop defending criminals just because they are black.
