I'm an introvert. I don't naturally gravitate toward anyone at all. Interacting with people takes great effort and is exhausting.
Because I know it's not healthy to always be alone though, when I am in a "people" situation, I will gravitate toward persons I know are funny and take more than 'small talk'.
I get along well with people of all ages.

A third of my friends are gay males, the other two-thirds are atheist and agnostics, non-denominational Christians, "desperate suburbian housewives of San Diego" (LOL), and Apostolic Pentecostals I met at church. After I was born-again in Christ, all my friends (especially the gay males) didn't consider me any different than before other than my new belief system and toned-down "natural" look (no more makeup for me). Some have drifted away for various reasons but nothing personal (relocated out of the area, etc.). I do have more gay male friends than before! I do adore them much, although my heart is convicted with the lifestyle, they are truly a lot of fun to be around. So funny, so witty, so humourous. They must be attracted to something in me to keep their friendship with me! I enjoy homecooked dinners with them and the housewives club, chatting about life, kids, and loved ones. Occassionally there is curiousity and interest about God, so I usually tell them my testimony in little sound bytes just to let them know the goodness of what God has done in my life. Just little seeds sown into their hearts, just a matter of time until someone else waters it. I fellowship with the AP saints at church functions, bible studies and shopping with the ladies. This is all outside of my normal everyday life as a Mommie to two young preschoolers and Wife to a good man.

I think I tend to gravitate towards people that are more outgoing than myself. I tend to be rather quiet, serious, and calm, whereas many of my friends are loud, humorous and high energy. But, these people all have a serious side to them too. I can't stand people who are all jokes and fun and no honest conversation.

I can fit in with anyone, but most appreciate people who are intelligent, irreverent, and a little bit wicked.
