Okay, so in the town I live there is literally a group that goes around making sure that no government building prescribe to any one religious holiday celebrations publicly (ie: outside).

So in a sort of protest to this the Cities Police Chief publicly states that he plans to put up a huge Christmas Tree in the Police Station lawn and invites any Christians to come and help him decorate it.

It's all over the news here (guess there's not much else going on) and I realize that it didn't bother me too much. Then I wondered why it didn't bother me. At first I figured - Hey, adults can celebrate their preferred holiday any way they choose as long as they don't bring it to school where kids have to deal with their religion being left out or other religion being forced on them.

But then I realized this is on county property, paid for by our taxes, and there are quite likely people who work at the Police Station who aren't Christian. So, in those ways, it is wrong.

i read a comment on here from a guy saying that white people who are being racist towards blacks are only standing up for themselves after years of it being ok for blacks to be racist.Maybe i'm slow in the head but this sounds really strange to me.Wasn't it deemed acceptable for 500 years for white people to racist towards black people. But it seems now that if a black person has a racist view towards a white person then its wrong and shouldnt be tolerated. And people are always asking why can blacks be racist but whites can't ,hasn't the entire history of white people in america until now been completely racist against blacks. So how is white people standing up against racist black people with racism any different than black people who stood up against racist white people

About six months ago, we got a new office manager in our branch office. I feel like she never does anything in the office to help with our sales, but is quick to pile on the tasks for everyone else!

She'll make us do sales calls after hours, but rarely (if ever) makes her own calls.

Whenever I approach my office manager's desk, she's always idly clicking away on the computer with her chin in her hand, seemingly doing nothing while everyone else is running 90 mph... and she doesn't offer to help!

Today I drove home crying because I was so frustrated...

So how do I approach the branch manager (my boss as well as the office manager's boss) about the situation?

I was waiting in the for the bus and this guy was sitting in the bus shelter smokin a black& mild and everyother second he was spitting. Like people want to sit in the bus shelter with him while he spits. I have noticed too that people are spitting anywhere, with no regards for how disgusting that is. Doesn't that spread disease? What is wrong with our society?

After that same person has given you praise for your work but because you are not bendding backwards and have to deal with best practice in the industry and third party vendors, calls you names behind your back. You hear about it. Give him a piece of your own mind and then are sacked??? The customer is US (well half Greek half French) and the boss is UK (provincial).

Rev.11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

I’m a 17 year old student and I am going to kenya for a few weeks next year to do charity work such as building schools and improving the welfare of the local communities. However I need to raise a couple of thousand pound to be able to go, therefore I am looking for any charities or companies that would sponsor me to make this possible.

Have you heard the rumor that the ACLU has filed a lawsuit against the US Government, trying to ban celebrating Christmas as a national holiday? If this ever happens, Dec. 25th would be like any other day of the year.....with folks working, banks and post offices open. This lawsuit is apparently taking place in the 9th curcuit court of appeals in CA. How do you think you would like this ???

a) What is your religion?
b) Have you ever killed someone, or been responsible for someone's death?
c) If so, do you regret it, and why; if not, under what conditions would you consider killing someone acceptable; such as if they have killed someone, committed a certain crime, etc.?

Today, upon noticing a nearby police officer, someone suddenly became nervous. He was asked by a friend of mine, "Why are you so worried? Have you killed someone?" Though he was just joking around, and laughed as he said it, the other person was shocked. He said, "Of course not! I'm a Christian!" This launched a discussion, in which this person argued that Christians would never kill, and if they did, they would regret it, whereas atheists would kill, and would never regret it. So, I'm curious as to whether there is, in fact, any correlation.

What if.....

You're wrong about the existence of God?
I don't care about the "if he doesn't prove himself..." junk... what if you are wrong, period?

If I'm wrong, and there is no God, then I just die, and that's the end, I've enjoyed my life as I've lived it with a very, very clear conscience. But if YOU are wrong, you'll spend and eternity in the flames of hell...
Whatcha think?

God had sent Jesus to forgive sins, but after his resurrection Jesus told the apostles, "‘As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.’ And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained’" (John 20:21-23). This is the establishment of the Sacrament of Penance (Confession).

Christ told the apostles: "As the Father has sent me, even so I send you" (John 20:21). Just as the apostles were to carry Christ’s message to the whole world, so they were to carry his forgiveness: "Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven" (Matt. 18:18). This power was understood as coming from God: "All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation" (2 Cor. 5:18), "So we are ambassadors for Christ" (2 Cor. 5:20)

Here's my situation: About a month ago, my boyfriend told me that in the past he has watched porn and masturbated but he really wanted to quit. He has already taken some steps such as getting rid of the Internet so he couldn't look at it on there and reading books about sex addiction. When he told me, he brought it up even though he could have hid it from me (we don't live together or anything so I probably wouldn't have known.) I was completely disgusted, as he expected I would be and I had a really hard time with it. He destroyed all of the porn that he had. I was torn about what to do. One thing you have to know is that I'm a virgin and am waiting til I'm married. He completely respects my decision and has been so wonderful about it. I can't help but think that God put us together for a reason, maybe to help him through this. He said he can feel himself changing for the better. Did I do the right thing, as a Christian, by sticking with him?

My prayer is that all people would know what it is to love and be truly loved. I also pray that those going through life's difficult trials would find comfort and hope in knowing that someone cares and will always be there for them.

That's really sappy, I know, but that's just how I feel. :)))

Have a wonderful day!

Just a thought ive had for awhile. We all know the account of the angels who came to earth before the days of Noah to sleep with earthly women. We also know that they had sons...Nephilum...or however its spelled.
These sons were destroyed by the great flood ...this is true...but is it possible that through the bloodline of Noahs wife(whos lineage is unknown)that she could have been related to one of these Demons? Its a strech I know, but it seems plausible to me.Any opinions?...and we already know what the Atheist's will say...
