If the suit is being heard by the 9th Circuit , it's a safe bet it will ultimately end up before the U.S Supreme Court. BUT, imagine a holiday where all government employees have to work and all the private sector is off for the day! Isn't going to happen. I'll make a bet with you, though, that the ACLU offices are closed on Christmas.
Aside: There is not a more anti-American organization on this earth than the ACLU!! ...and I'm including terrorists.

The choice of Dec., 25th for the date of our Savior's birth has been problematic for me for a number of years, especially since there would have been no shepherds tending their flocks outside of Bethlehem at this time of year! I have finally made peace with that date as being the night the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary with the Christ Child! I believe He was *actually* born on the Jewish Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur, since He *is* the atonement for our sins!
Nevertheless, Dec., 25th is too deeply ingrained in church history and American culture for someone like the ACLU (Anti Christian Liberties Union) to succeed in banning Christmas!
Incidentally, the main reason the actual date of the birth of Jesus is unknown is because observing birthdays was considered a pagan practice for several centuries!

It would not bother me at all because I don't celebrate it because it is a pagan holiday. I like to give gifts throughout the year. I believe in gift giving all year!!
I don't think they will ban Christmas because it is a big money maker for society. Maybe the atheists are asking for this ban. They already have removed true Christian symbols such as TheTen Commandments - from courthouses and they have made sure prayer is removed from schools and yesterday I heard on the news that now they are up to something else. They just love to disrespect God and His people.

I think it's ridiculous that a nation with a history as steeped in Christianity as this one, has even gotten to this point. We know our founding fathers never intended for there to be a :separation of church and state" in the first place. Why this mess can't be reversed is beyond me. The Bible says that whatever we bind on earth is bound in heaven. It's time we get on our knees and bind the ACLU and the freedom from religion crowd and the whole rest of 'em. If they want a nation free from Christianity so badly they can haul their sorry tushies to China.

Not in the least! If they want to change it to the day Jesus was supposedly actually born I wouldn't be happy with the change but could accept it. But to take it away completely would be an outrage!
Why don't they take a poll from the whole US and let the people decide. And why in California? Is that the most liberal of states?
Also it would hurt retailers plus the manufacturers and less money would be going to China. hhmmmm?
