I'm a follower of Jesus Christ and so is my husband. He is Middle Eastern. We also have an adopted child who is black. We still experience racism among people who claim to be Christians. How do they justify this?
A lot of people blame it on the way they were raised. This is bull crap though because once you become a Christian, you lose the right to use that as an excuse. Jesus can overcome any sin in your life and you demean the power of the Holy Spirit when you use that excuse.
Second, how can you spread the love of Jesus when you complain about gays, illegal immigration, and other political issues all the time. I'm so sick of hearing this constantly in the Christian Church. I don't agree with homosexuality and illegal immigration but I don't talk about it all the time. It's like saying "come follow Jesus and hate everybody I hate".
Isn't our first priority to evangelize, and let Jesus change their hearts? How can we combat this in the Christian Church?
