My lights are up and everything and I have cut them on once to make sure they all work, I don't know when I will leave them on though

No. The Christmas stuff doesn't come out until the Monday after Thanksgiving. There are stores downtown where I live that have x-mas trees and lights lit up inside the store.

Not yet. I am starting to decorate a little each day so I won't be overwhelmed. I already put out the poinsettia in the entrance way and on the cocktail table in the family room. I plan to put up my lights but not turn them on until after Thanksgiving.

No. Our city of 100,000 population lights all the Christmas lights the day after Thanksgiving. It is a big thing here. :o)

Nope...
unlike the holiday marketing going on in stores already for Christmas (even forgetting that Hanukah comes before Christmas), I want to celebrate the founding of your country first...and give thanks for the nation that our forefathers founded and the endurance and perseverances it took to gain the harvests and freedoms by coming to America.
Thanksgiving is a celebration we have negated in the last decade and that perhaps is probably why our nation is in such bad shape.
How can we forget the immigrants that founded this country and established the freedoms for us all? The labors and sacrifices...the harvest of plenty shared by those who really embraced what true immigration is. Thanksgiving cannot be forgotten and should not be forgotten.
Thanksgiving is a tradition brought forward from our founding fathers in generations past...
Menorahs and Christmas lights happened AFTER Thanksgiving...a time for family and friends to gather, giving thanks for the freedoms our forefathers established for us all.
Lights off until after we first give thanks for the freedoms that allow us to celebrate the different beliefs of the vast migrations that make up this great nation.

Are you kidding? I just got around to taking down our Halloween decorations. I see that Christmas has begun in all of the major shopping areas though.

Are yours on yet?

My neighbors have their lights up. The shopping center has it's tree and lights up. I just bought a wreath and some other decorations. My stuff will be up this weekend. I don't know why, but I really can't wait this year.
