A gay friend of mine told me that he's going to smile at some random guy around our campus. I'm really worried about him, he might get caught up in a fight because... y'know... HOMOPHOBIA. He told me that doing this might get him a boyfriend :D

What are the chances for a straight guy to return a gay guy's smile? Should I try to stop my friend from doing this?

Salaam fellow Muslims,

a question about Muslim weddings. I know they are different depending on where you're from, so tell me what is a typical Muslim wedding like where you come from?
Where I come from, they are very similar to a hindu wedding ceremony. This includes booking a grand venue, posh cars, lots of dressing up, music, dancing and the bride sitting in a 'doli' (click on the link if you don't know what a doli is)

Personally I don't like all this because it has nothing to do with Islam. It is all based on a hindu wedding ceremony. Why are we copying non believers?? It's not right. If it was up to me, I would be happy to have a simple Nikkah ceremony, keep it all short, sweet and ISLAMIC.

Many scholars felt that the Secret Mark fragments were a pastiche from the four gospels, some even suggesting that Mark's style is so simple to imitate the fragment must be a useless pseudepigraphon.

Agree or disagree.

I can see God and Satan both play a role in my life, but do angels play a role in this world ? If not, why did God creat them in the first place?

if homosexuality wouldnt be discriminated anymore, then everyone wouldnt choose to be homosexual. about 10% of people are gay, it wouldnt cause population to drop. why some people think that the population would drop? and why people think that there would be more homosexuals? who is a homosexual is already in that 10% or whatever is the correct number. so then straight people will turn to homosexuals? people keep getting excuses to be against homosexuality.

If someone were to tell you they were Atheist and you were trying to convert them, how would you go about it?
What would you tell them?
What proof that god is real would you provide to them?

The reason I'm asking this is because I am atheist and recently, some one attempted to convert me (unsuccessfully) to Christianity. She didn't really give any reasons why I should convert, just that I should to 'save my soul.' So I got to thinking how other people would attempt to convert Atheists.
So, tell me why I should convert!

How come there are so many haunted houses and tv shows about paranormal activity? Movies like white noise and poltergeist about ghosts being able to communicate to the living through tvs or radios? I dont mind them they are actually kinda interesting but heres the thing. After so much hoopla where is the proof? To my knowledge there is no news footage or amateur video footage that shows concrete proof of a ghost being caught on film or in pictures. If there were such proof wouldnt the newspapers or news programs show it on tv at least 1/10 of the amount of times they showed the 9/11 footage? News shows are desperate for material so thats why I dont believe in ghosts. If you have honestly seen a ghost let me know about your experience.
