False - The word trinity is found nowhere in the Bible, but was invented to discribe a concept. The basic idea of the trinity, which recognizes that Jesus is God, the Father is God, the Holy Spirit is God, that they are one and He is God, that must be believed because it is scriptural. But at least one group, the oneness pentecostals, believes this yet does not believe in the trinity. Nowhere in the Bible does it say "three persons one God" or "one person, three modes, one God". These are details we humans like to bicker over. Believing God is what is important.

Partly true - The Bible says in 2 Peter 1:20 that the Bible is not of "personal unraveling", unraveling from the greek 'epilusis', which means that scripture neither came about from individual human minds, nor can it be interpreted properly by individual people by themselves. Instead, we need the Holy Spirit to help us interpret properly, and we need to give up our personal agendas in scripture interpretation to God. Part of salvation is repentance and surrender to God, and this is one part of it, laying down our pride and taking up our cross so that instead of trying to interpret scripture by ourselves, we can interpret it with His help in humility and receptiveness. I answered this as "partly true" because we will never achieve this perfectly in this life, we fail at many things. And we will all be wrong at one time or another when we interpret what we read, no matter how "sincere" and "surrendered" we are. The main thing is believing the truth of who Jesus is and what He did, and not trying to poke loopholes through parts of the Bible you don't like which concern salvational issues and sin issues. If we are surrendered to this point, then our heart is truely seeking after God, and we won't have to worry.

True - I had to think about this one, mostly because of how you worded it. If it means, do you have to believe that all scripture is inspired by God to be saved, I have to say yes. I say this on the principle that to be saved you have to believe God's Word, you have to talke Him at His Word (Romans 10:17 added to Ephesians 2:8, and other passages), and not taking Him at His Word is calling Him a liar (1 John 5:10). If you believe the things in His Word are from Him and are correct, then that is the same as believing it is inspired. Not believing is not believing. Even though the Bible doesn't address this explicitly in this fasion, I believe there is enough evidence in enough places to point to a yes.

False - Water baptism is a "work", and no work can save (Ephesians 2:8-9), although true salvation will produce obediance, and God did command us to be baptized. Age, by itself is not a concern, so long as the person is old enough to have knowledgeably and willfully confessed Jesus as Lord.

Partly False - Salvation does come from accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior, and nothing else. However, you have to undestand the full implications of this for this statement to be true. Many people do not realize what this means, and "accept" Him in a shallow and incomplete way, and therefore do not really accept Him at all. Truely accepting Him means you obediantly surrender to Him as your Lord and King, agree with His just judgement that you have sinned and are guilty, worthy of an eternal death penalty, confessed this to Him, and have consciously rejected living in sin and selfishness in order to live in love towards God and others. It also means that you have accepted His truth, believing that Jesus is who He says He is, and did what He says He did, and will do what He says He will do. It is a complete abandoning of self to the Lord, just as He completely abandoned Himself to us on the cross. In this way we are crucified with Christ. If we do not accept all of Jesus, we reject Him. A casual and shallow acceptance will not do.

True - Right out of James 2:14-26. Good readin. It is not that works produces salvation, but that genuine faith, the kind that produces salvation, also produces works as much as it has ability and opportunity.

True - Without Jesus we can do nothing (John 15:5), our most righteous deeds are like filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6).

Partly True - I hate the word religion. It is vague, infinitly redefineable, and brings up a different connotation in the mind of every hearer. God is not impressed by empty, rituallistic religion, meaningless tradition, or other similar human inventions. If He liked this sort of thing, He would have praised the Pharisees and Sadducees, who had plenty of it!
Instead, He rebuked them. He does want a personal relationship with us. When we surrender to Him, and the judgement against our sins is taken out of the way, we are reconciled with Him. We become His children, and we can also become close friends with Him. This is what He wants, and what we were created for! But He does care about what we believe, because if our mind is in opposition to Him, it puts a barrier up against that relationship. Kinda like it is hard to be friends with someone if they believe you are a liar and a thief, if they have hidden hostilities against you, or if they have no respect for you or your property.

There's my answers, sorry it took so long! Each of these questions is a Bible study waiting to happen, and I wish I had more time and space to go into it all. On that note, I wish I had more time and energy to study it deeper. Great questions! I hope my answers helped, and I pray that God glorifies Himself in them. God bless!

1.)False-->As long as you believe God the father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are God, it doesn't matter if you believe it is a trinity or a oneness. Yes you have to accept Jesus as the savior.

2.) True-->The bible interprets itself, some verses that are symbolic in nature are open to interpretation, but there is not many of them. What you can't do is make the bible fit your own agenda.

3.)True--> if you have the wrong understanding of key verses in scripture that pertain to salvation then you would be lost.

4.)False--> Nobody in the O.T was baptised, and the theif dying next to Jesus on the cross was not. Old Testament saints were saved by the blood of Jesus, just as everyone in the new testament. Baptisim is a decision to be buried with Christ, although it is recommended to be physically immersed in water as an outward sign to the congregation, and God.

5.)False---> Accepting Jesus as lord means nothing in itself. A person can be a unrepentant serial rapist and confess Jesus as lord. One has to repent to turn away from sin, and to lay their life down at the cross of Jesus.

6.) True--> If a person is dying of starvation, you don't tell the person you will pray for them, you give them food.

7.) False--> Yes it is important to have a relationship with him, but it is also important to understand proper biblical doctrine. But I suppose if you have a true relationship with God, it would automatically mean you had your doctrine corret.

Salvation does not depend on how one interpets scripture.
Salvation does not depend on how one believes when it comes to scriptures.
Salvation does not depend on being water baptized.
Salvation depends on if you believe and trust ine what the Lord Jesus Christ die on the cross. He died for your sins, He was buried and took your sins away and He rose again the third day for your justification. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Romans 4: 25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
Works without faith is dead. False in the age of grace true under the law. Romans 4: 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. James 2: 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
God doesn't care about religion for religion is when a person has to do something to please God. Salvation is a gift. Ephesians 2: 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Belief in the Trinity and in Jesus means accepting and living the universal principles of Love and Unity (Trinity) and Sacrifice and Death (Jesus) so that All are sanctified. Salvation is never an individual matter but a collective one because a true Christian considers others as part of himself or herself and not as separate, disconnected entities. And this has to be expressed in the way you live. Self-righteousness and a holier than thou attitude can never be considered as unifying and saving agents for this condition reveals a mind that still needs to go indepth and grow in wisdom and in truth.

As an Apostolic (Jesus name) Christian I don't believe in the Trinity because Acts 2:38 tells us to repent, be baptized in Jesus name, and receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost evidenced by speaking in tongues.

Salvation does depend upon interpretation of scripture because it is the word of God that will lead and guide us into all truth and also our salvation depends on our obedience to God's word.
TRUE

When we accept Jesus as our Savior, the Holy Spirit will help us understand the word of God so we can walk closer to Him.
TRUE

This also is true because Jesus in Mark 16:16 states the following: He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. An infant can't believe because it is too young to understand so this refers to a believer's baptism. A child who understands the difference between right and wrong can decide if ready for baptism.

This is FALSE because salvation depends upon our obedience to His word as well as belief. There is more than just saying I accept the Lord Jesus to be saved. We have to live according to His teachings also.

James 2:17, 18, 20 tells us:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? TRUE

Ephesians 2:8, 9 tells us:
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. TRUE

This is TRUE because our eternal destiny relies solely upon the relationship we have with during our life. God wants our praise and fellowship. This is the least we can do in thankfulness for all He has done for us. "16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us..."

Do you really want answers to all of those questions? The truth is that Salvation is simple. You must:
1. Believe that God is the ONLY God.
2. Believe that Jesus is His son and that he died for our sins.
3. Believe that the Bible is the word and God
4. Repent of your sins to God and turn away from sin.

Those are the facts of Salvation. The Bible will verify.

For one thing God doesn't care about religion, it is dependent on your personal relationship with Him. Remember there is "Salvation outside the Church" Also God as we were taught in school is every where, He sees, hears, controls and touches everything. Salvation is not solely dependent on Christian teachings but on your personal relationship with God and Human Kind. Remember the commandments were sum up into two distinct commandments which are "Love God above all things" and "love thy neighbours as thyself", if this two commandments are followed by the heart, salvation and peace will be attain.

It is by God's grace we are saved through faith. But how can a person have faith in Christ without knowing who Christ is? You can have faith in Donald Duck will that save you? No, you need to have faith in the God of the Bible.. When you trust Jesus that means trusting Him completely.. Believing what He said is the truth.. without that how can anyone say the have faith in Him and deny what is in His word... IHS Jim

NO TRINITY-----JUST ONE GOD
THE BIBLE is of NO PRIVATE INTERPRETATION
JESUS is the WORD and is SAVIOUR ( cant be seperated)
And water baptism is only a outward show of obedience to God ( it doesnt save you )....
YES , accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour ( There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved )
faith is the substance of things hoped for evidence of things not seen........
Salvation is a gift of God..and cant be earned by works...and it says further i will show you my faith by my works..and it also says " Our work is to believe on Him who He hath sent " that is our works......and by it believing we have Faith in what we cannot or have not seen yet !!
And agian religions are man made---NOT GOd made
And He said " come unto me all you that have labored and are heavy laden and i will give you rest "
Take my yoke upon you for it is easy '
BEHOLD I stand at the door and knock and if any will open to me i will COME in and sup with him and he with ME "
And WITHOUT a TRUE Relationship with Jesus Christ.......and abiding IN HIM and HE IN YOU...you are none of HIS !!!

You already know the answer to all the questions... Yet it is very interesting how you combine Jesus with all of them so that a Christian is nearly forced to say true to all, whether he agrees with the first part or not.
