they are programmed to block the negative evidence against the Watchtower organization??

2007-11-09 13:03:13 · 12 answers · asked by Nina, BaC 7 in Society & Culture Religion & Spirituality

Michelle Chang: I think you are programmed. You cannot even answer the question. Are you telling me that no one ever ask these questions from you wehn you go to knock door to door.

You have a free will from God, but not from your organization.

Most JWs have no idea what negative evidence against their organization exists. Only when TV and/or newspapers put something on screen/in print do most JWs realise something is afoot. As this publicity rarely deals with anything other than death from lack of blood transfusions, or child abuse, they can dismiss it for three reasons:

(A) Their doctrines are correct so all criticism of that is from Satan.
(B) Only a tiny minority of members abuse children, steal, lie etc and they never were genuine JWs in the first place, or they have since repented and are now okay.
(C) Because they are the only true religion in the world today, the world hates them and Satan is out to malign and misrepresent them. They have a persecution complex and all negative evidence reinforces this silly idea.

Lastly, their leaders have produced three different histories of the organization over the years. The current one has been forced to admit to certain negative things that non-JWs placed in the public domain, but not in a totally honest and open way. For example, their treatment of the 1975 event takes advantage of the fact that most JWs are post-75 converts who were not there to realise what really was said and those who were have conveniently developed selective amnesia. Until their Faithful & Discreet Slave class [i.e. their leaders] can be held accountable in an open system of examination and questioning, they will continue to re-write their history to negate all criticisms.

Evidence against? More often than not it's half-truths, sugar-coated with a fake "I care about you guys" attitude. It's usually slander. When one looks at the ENTIRE article that a quoted paragraph is taken from, you realise that the article was addressing something else, not what the asker seems to portray.

I laughed the one time I saw a quote, the asker had put a few ............ in between words as if they had just skipped out a few unnecessary words- they had skipped TWENTY SENTENCES!!! Just to make their point seem valid.

None of Jehovah's Witnesses becomes one blindly- those of us who came in from the outside did our research very thoroughly. Some of us might have even been just like you, slandering day in day out.

You ARE serving a purpose in your own way, I guess. People are not blind.

EDIT: When I was growing up on a farm, I had to learn to tell whether noises were coming from the goat-pen or from the sheep-pen; the goats could sound just like sheep to the inexperienced ear, but never the other way round.

No, that is a biblical challenge. Does all and sundry even imagine of Christ on Christmas? it really is all about paying for delivers and adorning a tree....the bible absolutely says "do no longer reduce down a tree and boost it", i ought to ought to get the precise scripture for you in case you want. Jesus wasn't even born on Dec twenty fifth. X-mas absolutely originated as a Pagan vacation....initially being "day of the sunlight", then transforming into "day of the SON". The bible does no longer supply an exact date of Jesus' beginning or demise. imagine of each and every of the non secular vacation's, do any of the customs absolutely have something to do with God or Jesus? lots of the time they contain issues that are literally not Christ like in any respect. The bible says those products are "thoughts of the international" and not in any respect to participate in those products. i ought to flow on and on. i have studied the bible for years and characteristic elementary many human beings of many faiths, which includes Jehovah Witnesses. some belongings you should study and check out, yet as far as vacation's flow, it really is extremely written in black and white. be at liberty to the contact with the different questions.

From my experience, some have been effected ans actually started questioning the things that they should be questioning. Most do not. Many just call names.

Satan Has blinded the eyes of the unbelievers, and only God, through his Holy Spirit can open them. should we stop questioning:? No. Others are watching. The Governing Body has designed a dangerous cult here, and it can result in physical death, and certainly spiritual death and a separation from God.

During a period in which I was in a back slidden condition I dated a Jehovah's Witness. When I would try to explain the falsehood of the watchtower cult, she'd close her eyes, and wouldn't open them until I was finished. I once asked her to repeat what I had just said to her, and she responded that she didn't know what I had just said. She was so brain washed by that evil cult that she learned to block out what ever didn't agree with it, she literally didn't hear me.

No.

Jehovah's Witnesses remain unaffected by the "evidence" presented by anti-Witnesses because it never accurately reflects the Scriptures, it often is blatantly false, it frequently is smarmy and insulting and reproachful, and it always is intended to "tear down" rather than "upbuild".

(Romans 14:19-20;15:2-4) So, then, let us pursue the things making for peace and the things that are upbuilding to one another. Stop tearing down the work of God... Let each of us please his neighbor in what is good for his upbuilding. For even the Christ did not please himself; but just as it is written: “The reproaches of those who were reproaching you have fallen upon me.” For all the things that were written aforetime were written for our instruction, that through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope.

Copy and paste helps to be unaffected. Organization has trained them well, they do not have to think for themselves. Actually they are not allowed to think for themselves if they want to be part of that cult.

Yes, it's called mental conditioning

Religious cults programme their followers by stripping away their critical thinking skills. If your not allowed to think for yourself, than your mind isn't your own. Their doctrines are laced with fear and terror so as to make the follower subject to their beliefs alone. In other words, it's a 'sin' to think for yourself.
