If someone were to tell you they were Atheist and you were trying to convert them, how would you go about it?
What would you tell them?
What proof that god is real would you provide to them?

The reason I'm asking this is because I am atheist and recently, some one attempted to convert me (unsuccessfully) to Christianity. She didn't really give any reasons why I should convert, just that I should to 'save my soul.' So I got to thinking how other people would attempt to convert Atheists.
So, tell me why I should convert!

And just to tell people, I accept all religions and am respectful of all. This is just to see what people think of their religion and why it should be believed.

Also, I ask you to be respectful of my views since I am respectful of yours.

No one can convert you. Only by the Grace of God will your mind and heart change. I was an atheist for 25 years, and becoming a believer (esp. a Catholic) was the LAST thing I expected or would have wanted. And no one pushed me into it.

So if I were your real-life friend, you would hear about my religion to an extent because it is an important part of my life. But in terms of 'witnessing' to you, I would only do that if you ask questions and wanted to learn.

St. Francis of Assisi said to Preach Always, use words when necessary.

I would pray for you, and pray that my behavior and speech wouldn't turn you off to Christianity. In fact, that's a frequent prayer of mine - Dear Lord, please don't let me piss anyone off so much that they take it out on You.

Atheist is only capitilized at the beginning of sentences.

Honestly, people have tried to "convert" me and in reality I piss them off since I do have an answer for all the poopie they try to bring.

People are actually being true when they say that giving them a frontal lobotomy would go a long way because it would.

I totally agree with you. I am Pagan and the amount of times I have been told that I am lost soul and should seek Gods wisdom has been vomited to me many a time. People should respect others beliefs as it is our right to believe in who or what we want.

People should just accept that.

I think it is really rude to try and attempt to convert people.

You should really ask them to prove that there is such a thing as a "soul". Because there isn't.

if i were to help someone out, i would be an example... like i haven't cried in four years, i am such a happy person solely because of the joy God has shown to me... also the fact that i used to be a bully in my school and hurt other people cause i was hurt, but now i am so nice...and stuff like that
