if homosexuality wouldnt be discriminated anymore, then everyone wouldnt choose to be homosexual. about 10% of people are gay, it wouldnt cause population to drop. why some people think that the population would drop? and why people think that there would be more homosexuals? who is a homosexual is already in that 10% or whatever is the correct number. so then straight people will turn to homosexuals? people keep getting excuses to be against homosexuality.

Whomever started that ugly rumour was just jealous because they weren't getting any. We can not help with whom we fall in love with, there is no commandment with guidance on that one. Moses didn't have a lot of time to jot down notes, he had to chisel into stone and get back down to the people to stop them from sinning further in his absence.

A lot of people don't "come out of the closet" because they're afraid of the discrimination that they'll face in society (derogatory comments, frowned upon, etc.) If you remove that discrimination, people won't worry about it and would be more open to the idea since it becomes a social norm. That's just how it is.

The population would barely be affected, but i see where people get the idea that it would drop. But i don't see why we need a larger population in the first place...

"10% of people are gay?" Are you kidding? Open your eyes and take a look at the world around you. The number is MUCH MUCH MUCH HIGHER than 10% !!!

I've never heard anyone give the argument that lifting bans on sodomy and homosexuality would create more gays. But, then I hang out with reasonably intelligent people. Maybe you should try it.

Oh, and by the way (not that it matters) I am not gay. No way.

A population drop would be welcome in either case.
Something the relgious zealots tend to forget is that since a gay/lesbian couple cannot naturally reproduce, they tend to adopt/foster children.

And trust me, my mother is a child care worker, and anything is a vast improvement over some of the stuff she deals with (ie- she was telling me just today about an 8-yr-old who's bio-parents were indiscriminate about their son witnessing sexual acts, now he's trying to sodomize classmates because he thinks it is 'correct' behaviour....) not to mention that the agency she works for is experiencing an extreme drop in foster/adoption families... if it weren't for some of these same-sex couples, these children would languish in placement (which is usually corrupt and abusive anyways).

Hey! The world is overpopulated & children are dying of starvation in the third world countries. We need to depopulate for a better world. Why would people think that gay people are a problem? They are not the problem. They are part of the solution for overpopulated present world.

You're right. I don't know who said that but it's not true, the population would not drop and even if it did, that would be a blessing in some areas.

You see, gays are notoriously bad at multitasking, and right after being able to pursue relationships on their collective to-do list, is global destruction.... So keeping them from leading happy lives is keeping them from killing us all really.

...That or the people who believe this are all gay themselves, and figure that they would never have heterosexual relationships if homosexual ones were okay, which suggests to them that nobody would.

I agree, it wouldn't change much, because homos tend not to breed anyway.

Homosexuality is a choice, a choice God calls an abomination;and yes two men or two women can not create NEW life and/or cant have kids NATURALLY.

It is a problem that the world is justifying under the guise of love.

I think that it would change the environment of "some" of the kids growing up.
