If you were able to wave a "magic" (in this case "Holy") wand, what would be your one wish come true for self and humanity?

If so what was it like? Did people get healed or touched? I just want to know what the Holy Spirit is doing in our churches lately. He can be so much fun sometimes. I had an encounter so strong that weed smoking seemed 100x boring! God wins again!

I came back from a prayer meeting after laughing non stop for 30 minuts. I was just praying with people and so much joy just like welled up I started laughing for no apparent reason and then I had a vision for someone and knew about a persons injury. God is awesome. Man this feeling was better then sex! I kid you not!

higher power or to enhance the lives of the people they are trying to convince. I can't see any personal motivation for doing so. Atheist to are equally outspoken about their own veiws and in this forum are often insulting when doing so (at least in this forum) . What motivates atheists? If they are right and there is no higher power will the world be a better place by knowing it? What about individuals who rely on strength derived from spiritual practice.

So often innocent question offend. I apologize in advance

I'm nearing 60 and have been in my current career for 18 years (insurance and financial services). Frankly, I'm bored.

I have a number of things that I would love to do, but my overdeveloped sense of responsibility says that it would be foolish and financially disastrous.

Any thoughts on what I should do, who I should talk to, agencies, "life coach", ways to evaluate whether one path would be better than another? Have you done anything like this and succeeded? If you have, how did you pull it off? How would you advise others in this situation?

NOTE: I have a sterling credit rating, but have only saved about $50,000 in a retirement account. I have a low-interest mortgage of about $200,000 on a home valued at around $800,000. Married, children are married and financially independent. Wife is chronically ill but stable and reasonably active. I am bi-lingual English Spanish.

i know that Christianity don't believe in homosexuality. But i'm just curious. I've heard christians (good ones, not mean ones) saying how it is a sin, and they're forgiving towards gay people, how gay people can have feelings but shouldn't act on it. I've made an assumption that all christians are straight.

p/s: i want to believe in Christianity, i think it has changed many lives in a good way. But, i don't want to follow something that's so dictative. Why should gay people confess a sin that is not even real? It's like, "Blue is the majority's favourite colour. But I like Yellow". "Ok, you shouldn't act on ur feeling. Otherwise u'll be burnt in hell". My bottom line is, i respect everyone, just curious if all christians are straight?

He never really did it with Mary. So would he be asexual, since he sort of impregnated his own daughter. If you go by we are all children of good.

I wuz (was) told that Politics and Religions are two homosexuals bed fellows, one always like to be on top of the other. When they do come together az (as) won (one) they can be emosionally, psycologically devastating for its subjects but not its over seers. It iz often said that politicians are crooks, can that be said for religious fanatics az well? Often i wonder what would the World would have been if we did not have so many confusing religions, cults, crooked politicians etc. The USA claims to be the model of democracy yet they only have two political major parties. At times i think that the U.K. has the monopoly on God but USA has the franchise on Jesus Christ, no one can sell u Jesus like the TV evangelists in America. What iz ur take on what do they (the six major religions) have in common?

If you don't believe in God how do you think the world got here?
It can't just appear out of nowhere.
I've always wondered what people thought about this.

Thanks!

The pure lack of knowledge about science in many of the questions and answers I read in YA! R&S amazes me.

I kind of expect most Christians to not know much about science. I am an engineer so I work with "Science" every day. Most Christians I know do not work with science and I don't expect them to know anything about science. Some surprise me.

People who claim to know something about science and then say things like "When science proves there is no God" or "Evolution is a fact!" it only proves they know nothing about science or the scientific method.

As I have read these uneducated answers and questions it occurs to me that many people seem to worship science while knowing less about science than most Christians know about the Bible.

At least Christians read about what they worship and know something about God.

Why is it that many people who seem to worship science also see to know nothing about science?

I really am interested in opinions on this.

Thanks.

My high school principle practically told us to pray during our minute of silence and there were already designated areas for Christian students to pray before and after classes. I don't know what more you could ask for except a preacher in every class.

I was in New York recently, and have also been to other parts of the USA. Why do you seem to put cinnamon on or in a lot of things? I had it on coffee, oatmeal, apple pie, chewing gum and other things. I had to make a point of asking not to put it on in the end as all I could taste was the cinnamon and nothing else. Is there a reason for this please?

Hindus say many explanations that they see God in every thing : (at is in the trees, animals ,every stone ,statue ,idol & any thing). If then, why can' they see God in the hard working (dalit ) oppressed people of India for the past 5000 years. The Hindus treat such hard working people as Untouchables ( that they are not worthy to be touched). Their Scriptures teach them to keep those poor people in a many meters distance.
Every Hindu has to touch his human waste daily (minimum 2 times) .But he never touches the dalits. He never allows even the shaddow of such poor people to fall upon him.In this respect the Hindu considers the dalits (the very back bone of India ) to be worse than his human waste. There are many news paper references in which the Hindus thrusted even Human waste & human urine in to the mouths of such oppressed people. The worst Crimes are carried out by the Hindus against the dalits.
Stones, cows or human beings ...which is great ?
Cow or Man ..Who can be a god?
