I have several friends who Jehova Witness.

And I know that they will not allow a blood transfusion because of this.

This week it was in the news where a married couple who are Jehovas had twins. But the mother lost so much blood because of the birth she died from this.

Why don't these people allow blood transfusions in the case of a life threatening emergency?

Because of this two twin babies are without a mother.
Where is the sense in that?

(**I am not making any points for or against this religion**)

Thanks

Prayer is a "request". When we pray to those who have gone to heaven ahead of us, we are making a "request" of them. And what is that request? It is that THEY pray for US. Protestants do it all the time, but they limit themselves to making this request only of people still on earth. In this, the protestant view of the Church is very narrow. You see, Romans 8: 38-39 says: "neither death nor life... ...neither the present nor the future.. ..neither height nor depth, nor anything else.. ..will be able to separate us". The Family of God transcends death. We ALL LIVE IN CHRIST.

Hebrews 12: 22-24 says that as we approach God, Jesus and the angels, we also approach "the spirits of righteous men made perfect". In other words, THE SAINTS

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE YOU ANSWER . . .

This is from the Old Testament, Malachi 2: 2-3
God is going to punish the priests and their children . . .

“You must honour me by what you do. If you will not listen to what I say, then I will bring a curse on you. I will put a curse on the things you receive for your support. In fact, I have already put a curse on them, because you do not take my command seriously. I will punish your children and rub your faces in the dung of the animals you sacrifice – and you will be taken out to the dung heap.”

I know God is angry that the priests are not taking His commands seriously, but I don’t think threatening and punishing is the answer to the problem. I’m sorry but He sounds so evil and heartless talking about rubbing dung on their faces. And the fact that He wants to avenge them sounds so self-centered too.

And he went forward a little farther and fell on his face and prayed." (Matthew 26:39) Here, he goes from the standing position to prostrate on his face as Muslims pray.

"And he went forward a little and fell on on the ground and prayed." (Mark 14:35) Here the same positions are described.

"And kneeled down and prayed." (Luke 22:41) Here he is on his knees like Muslims pray, in another Islamic prayer position.

"And his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. And when he rose up from prayer." (Luke 22:44-45) Here is described the movement from placing the face on the ground to raising up to the standing position.

Do Mulsims pray to the same God as Christ and Muhammad had done while Christians do not know how to pray and pray to some other God?

Was Muhammad not the prophet to follow Christ?

I know I have had this one a few times and I find it very offensive.

You could be looking for something and finding it very difficult, you know that you have tried your best to locate the object and you fail.
You ask for assistance and he response is...

"Open your eyes and then you may find it" or "Have you actually tried looking?"
and if they find it, they will tell me...
"Are you blind?! It has been here all the time".

Why do you think people respond this way?
