sassy,
unfortunately (for YOU): the answer is YES
we teached what to eat and what to avoid
we teached how to have sex with our spouse
we teached how to run a country
that's why we called it diien (way of life), instead of religion

Well I mean there are hints at Parenting in Christianity. But parenting is basically a common sense thing. You don't need supersitious beliefs to raise a child, Infact we see how harmful they cycle has been througout history. I would rather teach my child to be a Rational thinker who uses deductive reasoning to make decisions, than a delusional self righteous ignorant hypocrite.

I think all religions are inculcating the idea of parenting to all its adherents...Because, there is no religion which only has male adherents or just female adherents...Each religion is composed of families, and these families are definitely living out the values according to the values of their religion....ANd i think religion is not to systematize that by way of teaching that in specific schools, but in the way the religion helps in strengthening the family...SO to answer your question, yes there are other religion who teaches parenting... the only difference with yours is on the way it inculcates parenting to its members....in fact, i would say ALL RELIGION IN THE WORLD, BIG or SMALL group do that....

I hope not- only religions which belittle you and think you are brainless will do so- next therell be religions which teach you how to have sex, what days to do it and how much food you are supposed to eat etc- its more like youre being treated like a brainless animal which you probably are if you follow them

Heres what Islam says about parenting:
1)The Prophet said to a small child whose father died in a battle: “May Allah bestow His blessings upon you on the death of your father.” We can see how the Prophet (peace be upon him) treated him as he would treat an adult. He offered him the condolences that would be given to a full grown man. He did not patronize him. He informed him of what happened immediately. Thus, we must RESPECT children.
2) Once, when the Prophet (peace be upon him) was seated, he was offered something to drink. He took it and drank from it. Seated to his right was a young boy and to his left were a number of elderly men. Since service was traditionally to the right, he turned to the boy and said: “Will you permit me to offer the drink to them first?” [Sahîh Muslim]. This shows we must help children THINK POSITIVELY about themselves.
3)Once a man called Bashir gave his son a gift. He went to the Prophet so that the Prophet could be a witness to it. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked him: “O Bashîr, do you have any other children besides him?” When Bashîr answered that he had, the Prophet asked: “Did you give each of them a similar gift?” To this Bashîr answered in the negative. The Prophet said: “Then do not ask me to be a witness for you. I will not bear witness to an injustice.” [Sahîh Muslim].
He also said :Fear Allaah and treat your children fairly.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari)
This shows we must TREAT ALL OUR CHILDREN FAIRLY AND WITH JUSTICE.
4) One Companion of the Prophet relates that another Companion used to preach to them once every Thursday. A man said to him that they wish he would speak to them every day. The preacher replied: “I only refrain from doing so because I would hate to bore you. I give you reminders the way that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to do so with us in moderation so that we would not grow weary.” [Sahîh al-Bukhârî and Sahîh Muslim]. So, we must not always LECTURE CHILDREN. BE MODERATE WITH THEM.
5) The Prophet said:: “Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock A man is the shepherd of his family and is responsible for his flock. A woman is the shepherd of her husband’s household and is responsible for her flock. DEAL WITH CHILDREN RESPONSIBLY.
6) The Prophet said: The one who does not show mercy will not be shown mercy.” (al-Bukhaari (5651) and Muslim (2318). Thus, one must be MERCIFUL TO CHILDREN, not spank them.
There may be more instances, this is all i could think of!

Prophet Muhammad (saw) did everything Allah (swt) said - so he married who Allah (swt) said - for us - so we know who to marry and if he married 1 person and kept that person all his life then his followers would say he did that so we ll do the same - we follow his example and want to do what he did

The bible teaches all these things.
A note - Muhammed adopted a son then married his adopted son's wife. Isn't that a bit strange don't you think?
