Who and why?

Why don't Jews believe in jesus Christ? doesn't he fulfill the prophecies of the old testament? for example.. Isaiah 53
" surely he has borne our greifs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was peirced through for our transgressions: he was bruised for our inquities"..........this is just a part of Isaiah 53 but doesn't this provide sound proof for jesus Christ being the Messiah? What would another Messiah do differently? thanks for your answers..

I am a Christian and I just smoked my last cig. My smoking has caused a lot of fights in my marriage and I feel so terrible when I look at my children (they do not know).
I know that it is a sin and I know that I need to lean on God for this.
Will you PLEASE pray for me and let me know of some scripture that I can read pertaining to this. Anything will help me.
I NEED to do this... God didn't give me life for me so screw it up and hurt my body.

One of the answers to my Genesis question said that God intended Adan and Eve to live forever. Now, as I understand it. The Christian God is an all knowing God. So, how could he possibly have intended Adam and Eve to live forever when clearly, He would know they're going to eat the fruit and die?

Hamburgers are eaten whole with one's hands in Japan . I heard that it was usual in UK to eat the hamburger with a knife and fork. If you do so, do you remove the top half of the bun? And don't you eat it at all?
Please tell me how you eat them.

I am wondering ,I took a DNA test that showed 12%-20%
Native American. I feel like this has to be choctaw or cherokee
since my family origionally came to Oklahoma from Tennessee.
The thing is I really dont look that much Native American
and I cannot find any concrete evidence of this after
looking at paper trails.
Should I question this test?

So I've been going to my Church my hole life, I am so into it, I'm on the church counsel and I worked at a Christian summer camp all last summer. I love doing things for the church and what it stands for. I know there are a lot of things that the church does that I hate, and are wrong and hurt a lot of people too, but all and all its and ok thing.

I just don't believe a word of what is being said in the bible, or any of that stuff. So can some one go to church and participate in it, and not believe in god? Its been long and hard and well thought out, there is no god. This is what I've been doing for the past 2 yours and I'm 21.

“I think I’ve found that religion has been the where most of the pain in my life has come from and I want to know why. I’m strange when ever something hurts me I want to know more about it and why it hurts me.” But that’s just about me. And if you want to know why I think that you can just ask.

I would like a general idea of the amount of people that have tried this.

Was it difficult, if you did? Was it so difficult, that you didn't try it?

How many people say, the information in Genesis is wrong, and why?

If I thought it was wrong, I would not have anything to do with the bible, what about you?

Am I the only one that believes it, and does this study, to enjoy it and believe even more strongly in the bible?

I am just curious, please help me get some idea about it. Thanks.

I perused a magick book today and I came to the conclusion that magick relies on the person, to accumulate energy thru meditation and use it towards their own will. There's no reliance on spirits or gods; it's simply energy. The same energy that Buddhists refer to; that martial artists refer to. Am I correct? Therefore, magick has severe limitations in usage.

There are so many families and women with children out there who need help.Families are living on the streets, in hotels and a lot of these people have no where to turn. I'm starting a non profit org named give me a break. And the purpose of it is to help families pay their bills, food, financial training, home ownership classes and other needs. I can't do this by myself. It takes a community. I need people to make donations of cash, food, clothes, toys and other things. Please contact me if you are intrested in giving someone a hand up not a hand out. If you know someone who is an expert in one of the beforemetioned things please pass this on.

he mite not like me
This guy is either shy, intimdated or wierd? help?
I like this kid. He sits next to me. he is pretty popular, really sarcastic etc. I noticed that his friends whom r girls surround him and he just jokes with them (physically and mentally) Well he has known me for two months and a half (counting November). The only time he talks to me is just by ordinary questions(Like why do you fast? is writing in ur language hard?what does ur name mean in ur language)The last guy who liked me who so afraid to ask me anything, even a pencil lol. This guy seems strange because he was telling my friend to shush everytime she opened her mouth and he barley knew her. But with me he doesnt do that, never jokes around but he was being sarcastic with someone he doesnt know?! hell, he asked everyone around him for paper except me. i even playfully threw a ball at him and he didnt even ask me if i did it. so what gives?
were in HS and grade 10

he is kinda of a dick not to me

Hey all. Everytime I watch an American sit-com, I can't help but notice that shoes are worn in the house. People just walk right in. I don't think I know a single person here in Saskatchewan that does that... but a couple of my friends from the States say its pretty common practice. Is this a Canadian-American thing? Or am I just reading too deeply into this?

I don't know, but hearing someone say "I accept gays", or "I'm gay friendly" or whatever just seems like a control thing to me. It reminds me of an old English king/queen movie where they're tapping the knights with the sword or whatever and declaring their approval or something.
Do straight people really think GLBT's need this "approval"?

God supposedly has freewill, and yet he does not make imperfect decisions. If humans are miniature images of God, our decisions should likewise be perfect. But the occupants of heaven, who presumably must have freewill to be happy, use that freewill to make imperfect decisions (Satan and his followers). Would humans who later transcend to heaven do differently? And if 2/3 of perfect beings who were originally in heaven betrayed God, how could heaven ever be sinless?

It gets soooo old to see people over and over again saying mormons are in a cult. Its cuz they are a cult. Its a cult a cult a cult.
Usually when they say that it is right after they say why our beliefs arent christian and so we are nothing but a cult.

Is a cult to some of you just anyone that doesnt believe in your version of religion? If I as a mormon did everything the same that I was doing now but I believed exactly like you would I magically not be in a cult anymore? Do the people that claim mormons are in a cult know any mormons and see how they actually worship, live and interact within the community? How is it any different than your religion that you dont consider a cult?

When I see cult I see that as a negative connotation. According to def, all religions are cults. But a kid born out of wedlock is technically a bastard but everyone knows it is considered an insult to call someone a bastard just like everyone knows its an insult to claim its a cult.
