The purpose of life...no, I believe we are here to reproduce and to try to make the world a better place for those we leave behind. However perhaps the secret to life is happiness. When people are happy so much goes away. Pride, greed, anger, hate, so many things that ail the world as a whole would disappear if only we were all happy.I think we would see less repression, famine, wars, racism/bigotry, etc. People would experience more of a brotherhood with each other.Happy people are both physically and emotionally healthier than those who aren't....So while it may not be the actual purpose of life....It is a key component to achieving world wide paradise.

The purpose of man is being happy. The purpose of life is learning and improving

There is no happiness without sadness, so the purpose is also to have sadness as it is a package deal. If we had equal amounts of both at all times, life would become mundane and meaningless. Therefore, the purpose of life is to experience.

Hmm well life is pretty general. It goes beyond humans so maybe "the purpose of life is to live" since that would cover worms and microbes.

For man I like the answer that the purpose of life is to be happy.
If I were to extend that it would be to quote Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. I find it interesting. And looking at it, I see each level as defining basic life form, higher level animals, then social animals, and finally humans. The definition of human, is that they have added to the hierarchy of happiness beyond the level of animal.

Well in a general sense I'd say the purpose of life is to create more life.

However on a personal level, the driving force behind me is my spouse and our two children that we raise, and to see them grow and be happy, and yes being happy myself too.

Precisely just look at nature, birds are singing in the trees they have got to be happy, the cows grazing in the fields look content, dogs are happy fetching sticks, cats are happy roaming around getting into trouble and humans lets face if feel more comfortable in life when we happy.

There is no purpose to life.... let alone to be happy.
If you want to be happy then that is your choice.... but it certainly isn't the purpose of life.

Need more evidence? Take a look at any other species on the planet almost... and view the suffering they go through on a daily basis just to survive.

God made us in His image so that we can be more like Him.I think He wants us to be happy and one can be truly happy if he has a clear conscience, is giving his very best in everything he does and strives to bring God's love and light into this world.
