Seriously....evolution is not an atheistic notion. There are the devout religious who accept evolution and strong-atheists who do not. Why make that leap in logic to equate evolutionism to atheism?!

The Christian churches drew up several creeds, The Apostles Creed, the Nicene Creed, the Athanasian Creed. Why do you suppose the church felt it necessary to draw up these statements of faith??? It is always good to try and understand why we believe what we believe.......any answers tonight ??

ok it is an abomination right ?

so when others get married do they promise
never to trim their beards
never to eat shellfish
never to wear mixed clothes
never to sit near a menstrating woman
never to get a tattoo
never to wear clothes of the opposite sex ( no shirts and slacks ladies )

I am just wondering if the preacher goes through these things before someone gets married ...
do they sign something along these lines ?

This is a hypothetical that goes out to everyone, regardless of whether or not you are religious or whatever religion you may be.

If you died and appeared before an angel and he gave you the two following options, which would you choose and why?

Oblivion--to be complete wiped out of existence. You will no longer be.
Judgment--to appear before God and be judged. This judgment will result in either an eternity in Heaven or eternity in Hell. We all know the difference. To clarify, Heaven is a place of pure joy and eternal happiness and love, where Hell is a place of eternal despair, loneliness, and torture--something far worse than nothingness.

This judgment is not based on your faith or religion, but what kind of person you are. If you are an overall good person who has done good in your life, then it will be Heaven. If you are a bad person who has committed much evil and are dishonest and selfish, then it will be Hell.

So which is it, and why?

serious question. Why do people hat gay people? How many of you who seem to hate gay people have ever even met one or gotten to know one? what is it honestly that you dont like? Its a sexual preference, and I find it hard to understand why you would hate and/or judge someone on this matter. Do you also hate those who prefer doggy style, or how about missionary? same fricken thing. What do you think?

Everything that we learned in modern science recently, and by recently i mean from like 300 years ago till now, Muslims knew 1400 years ago?

think about it:

This is proven so don't BS about this being a lie, but if you take a page or the ink from the oldest Quran in the world to see how old it is, it's 1400 years old and the words are exactly the same as the fresh Quran Books being printed 2day.

Muslims 1400 years ago knew that

-The earth is round!
-How the water cycle works
-The moon reflects light from the sun
-How babies are born

all these things among others are explained in the Quran and Hadith exactly as explained in school textbooks, I could name more things but the list would be waaaaaaaaaay too long.

Also

Christianity - Christ
Judaism - Juda
Hinduism - Hind
Buddhism - Buddha
Islam - Muhammad

notice something? all these religions are named after their founders EXCEPT Islam, Islam and Muhammad don't even have the same meaning.

any comments?

Macro evolution? In order for it to be possible wouldn't information need to be added to an organisms genetic code for animals to transform from one creature to another. That is impossible... i'm just confused ....

Many people interpret the American constitution to say that while you have freedom OF religion, you do not have freedom FROM religion.
So would 'undecided' be the get out clause (after all it's a big decision and you wouldn't want to get it wrong, would you)?

bible version from John:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.

Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world. now Atheists, i just cannot believe how you can neglect such wise words that stands in the bible, do you really think that the bible was made up by drunk retards? howcome then that in that time - when people did not had the same intelect as now on daily life-, can come with such great and inspiring tellings of how earth was created?

How, in your own interpretation, is this significant?

I know that some of you muslims will probably say something like "it's not significant at all. it's only important that he was the last prophet of God, who gave us an example to set our life by." this is also true, of course, but i like to think that everything about this great man is significant in some way, as he was chosen by God as the final prophet.

hateful comments from intolerant non-muslims are not welcome here. just a reminder.
