with all of my "if jesus was a ___ what kind of ___ would he be" questions, some people have given boring answers like "dumb question because he's not one"

well how do you know??? if he's as powerful as christianity claims, then there's nothing he can't do, right?

so, can god turn himself into inanimate objects?

If i could discombobulate myself into a bunch of beasts that are feared by man, you know, flies, mosquitos, snakes, toads, ect, would i be considered a genetic marvel, or be a demon in the eyes of most?

I recently read a few questions that asked if people knew of the anti-religious 'messages' within The Golden Compass (aka: Northern Lights) and the other books and subsequent films of the His Dark Materials trilogy.

The books portray an authoritarian church as the antagonists, and bases most of the religious concepts upon Jewish mythology more than anything. This reflects the abusive power churches had in the dark ages of Europe, why do some Christians seem to have issues with a work of fiction that displays evil as evil? Or do they insist that the churches of the dark ages were just and true and people weren't massacred for simply not complying to religious standards?

Sick Leave

I urgently needed a few days off work, but I knew the
Boss would not allow me to take leave. I thought that
maybe if I acted "CRAZY" then he would tell me to take a
few days off. So I hung upside-down on the ceiling and
made funny noises.

My co-worker (who's blonde) asked me what I was doing.

I told her that I was pretending to be a light bulb so
that the Boss might think I was "CRAZY" and give me a
few days off.
A few minutes later the Boss came into the office and
asked "What in the name of god are you doing?"
I told him I was a light bulb. He said "You are clearly
stressed out. Go home and recuperate for a couple of
days".
I jumped down and walked out of the office.
When my co-worker (the blonde) followed me, the Boss
asked her "...And where do you think you're going?"



(You're gonna love this..... )







She said, "I'm going home too, I can't work in the dark!

In all fairness, God could exist. Yes, it's possible, I believe it. But why do so many have seemingly so many definitive notions of something that has so many possibilities?

There could be a single God, sure, but there could also be many. Miracles can happen, sure, but coincidence can make the ordinary seem extraordinarily timely. Bad people get struck down, sure, but so do good people.

Why do so many believe so much in something that, honestly, you can't *know* that much about?

On their first night together, a newlywed couple go to change. The new bride comes out of the bathroom showered and wearing a beautiful robe. The proud husband says, "My dear, we are married now, you can open your robe." The beautiful young woman opens her robe, and he is astonished."Oh, oh, aaaahhh," he exclaims, "My God you are so beautiful, let me take your picture. Puzzled she asks, "My picture?" He answers, "Yes my dear, so I can carry your beauty next to my heart forever".

She smiles and he takes her picture, and then he heads into the bathroom to shower. He comes out wearing his robe and the new wife asks, "Why do you wear a robe? We are married now." At that the man opens his robe and she exclaims, "oh, OH, OH MY, let me get a picture". He beams and asks why and she answers, "So I can get it enlarged!"

PLEASE ANSWER ALL OF THESE QUESTIONS:

1. Is homosexuality a sin?
2. If you are gay, and your worship God with all your heart, will you still go to Hell?
3. If you are born gay, do you think it's fair to know that you're headed to Hell?

My Grandma told me that gays and lesbians will all go to Hell no matter how much they worship God. Even if they were born like that. I think that's kind of harsh!

to lighten the mood in here, i've been asking "if jesus was a ___ what kind of ___ would he be" questions the last couple of days. the answers are quite imaginative and mostly positive.

as most of you know, i'm not christian, but these questions aren't meant to be offensive, just fun. it's not like i'm asking something gross or mean, so how is this blasphemy?

guy out on the golf course takes a high speed ball right in the crotch. Writhing in agony, he falls to the ground. As soon as he could manage, he took himself to the doctor.

I don't understand about this Country, People we are not black ok. I just wish us African-Americans stop saying we are black and plus we are not African-American either because Africa is not a country. We come in diffrent shades of "Brown" not Black. So how are skin tone is Black? Yes, Some of us do have skin tone that look almost black but it's not!

I hate that word "Black" and "African-American"! I say we are mix race or "Brown people"

Here's my question:
If a white person says the he/she has black friends and is not racist, black people hate this, and immediately think that you ARE racist, and you are lying or something.
This is something that most white people don't understand about you. When we say this, we are merely pointing out proof that we are NOT racist and don't care what color you are, otherwise we wouldn't be friends.
Do you understand this about us? Why is this so misunderstood between black & white people?

1. God LOVES you and offers a wonderful PLAN for your life.

"God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" John 3:16.

Why is it that people are not experiencing the abundant life?

2. Man is SINFUL and SEPARATED from God. Therefore, he cannot know and experience God's love and plan for his life.

Man Is Sinful
"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23.

3. Jesus Christ is God's ONLY provision for man's sin. Through Him you can know and experience God's love and plan for your life.

"God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" Romans 5:8.

4. We must individually RECEIVE Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know and experience God's love and plan for our lives.

"As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name" John 1:12

Rich was talking to his buddy at the bar, and he said, "I don't have a clue what to get my wife for her birthday - she has everything, and besides, she can afford to buy anything she wants, so I'm stumped."

His buddy said, "I have an idea - why don't you make up a certificate saying she can have 60 minutes of great sex, any way she wants it - she'll probably be thrilled."

if we deserved punishment for our sins, but Jesus took them on, why would god have made us with the capability to commit sin if he knew his only son would have to die if he did it? Whoever this "God" guy is, he doesn't sound like a very good parent, and is definitely not worthy of any kind of praise. He sounds like an A**Hole.
