Why are you limiting this to only Christians? Do you think anyone else has a valid opinion?

God looks on the heart.
No man can judge what is in another's heart.
Homosexuality is a sin.
Homosexuals are people.
Jesus died for ALL people.
Your Grandma, Me, or anyone else has NO IDEA who is going to Hell and who isn't. Only God is the judge.
Jesus Himself taught that there are only two commandments:
1. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength.
2. Love your neighbor as yourself.
Mark 12:29-31

1. No. If loving people is a sin, well then there goes the entire basis of our religion.
2. NO.
3. NO.
Don't be too harsh on your grandma though. She was probably raised believing that way. God is always proud of our acceptance of the other people we share this earth with.

I believe your Grandma is telling you what she sincerely believes. I'm sure you know that. She isn't saying it to get your goat or to be mean. What she believes and is telling has a solid biblical foundation. Scripture that is pretty straight forward. On the other hand, the Bible is pretty clear on a lot of other things that will also land you in hell. Since most people fall prey to these temptations they are not hammered on that much, but the biblical foundation there is just as strong and compelling. The first commandment is to love God with all your soul, strength, mind. The second commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself. God is a jealous God. In heaven there will be no marriage, we will be like the angels. On this earth we are faced with all kinds of temptations and difficulties we were'nt even prepared for. We will each have to give an account for how we have served God. We were created to glorify God, not ourselves. What God expects of us doesn't always make sense given what we feel in our heart. I would take what your grandma says with respect and focus on the fact we all fall short of God's glory but our primary relationship is supposed to be with Him. If you are gay or have a gay friend continue to focus on that first commandment. Realize that you are hardly alone in your desire to go to heaven, but you are faced with so much inner turmoil you feel the effort will have been expended in vain. A lot of people quit and then rationalize it and try to wipe God out of existence, but you know now that this life is not all there is and Jesus forewarned us to be prepared.

#1 I believe according to scripture, (Romans1:21-32 specifically 26-27) it is sin.
#2 According to the word of God you can't get into heaven with a direct sin in your life, but seek God and he will show you what to.
#3 I personally don't think people are born gay, I believe that it may be a generation sin that may need to be broken in your life. I know that God will give you grace to change your life.
I don't want to come across as extremely strong. I encourage you to study the word of God and seek Him with all your heart, and He will show you what he wants you to see.

There are places in the Bible people place that on. in the old and new testaments. man on man and woman on woman is condemning your soul to hell it says in one place. I am a minister and I believe that it is God's place to judge you not mine or anyone Else's!!! The things of the world today have perverted the human physiology to the point we are no longer the way we used to be. My suggestion to you like to my daughter that is lesbian is you have to talk to God and you have to let Him do His work in your life. He will tell you what is right and what is wrong. God is the only one that has no sin. When Jesus stood with the prostitute in the street that the men were going to stone He said Ye without sin cast the first stone and everyone left. That is what everyone should do with this. Our job as Christians is to Love Gods creations (IE You) no matter what and not to judge. To accept the soul and not the sin no matter what we may or may not think that sin is. I have been on both sides of this life. Living for satan and living for God I prefer God by millions of miles and I want people to want what He has given me and they are not going to want it by me condemning them. Love in Christ my friend. Hope this helps.

It is not a sin to be born with a tendency to do something wrong.
It becomes a sin when it is acted upon, done.
Thus those who have this urge, can become Christians in good standing if they do not commit the sin that their urge demands.
As Jesus said himself, some make themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom -- of course, this does not talk about physically operating on themselves. It refers to the abstaining from the sinful tendency and thus abstaining from sin that condemns and damns.

1. Yes
2. IF you worship GOd with all your heart why would you commit a sin that displeases Him so much? We all sin, but most try to overcome sin. Do homosexuals try to overcome their sin of fornication, homosexuality, lust, ect...?
3. Homosexuals from birth are homosexuals from birth because they were born with a sin nature and a weakness for sinning sexually.

No no and no. I'm straight, but I firmly believe that those are lies told by people who are afraid. People tend to fear what they don't understand or things that are drastically different than the majority. I have it on good authority that God does not care who you love, so long as you don't hurt anyone loving them. Be a good person, love thy neighbor, all those things.... are what He would like for us. I don't believe that God sent us his only son to absolve our sins. I believe that He sent us his only son to show us what He wants from us, to show us how to live. What did Jesus do? He helped those society had tossed aside, because he recognized that they were the ones who needed Him the most.
God bless you my friend; just because you're gay doesn't mean you're going to hell. Your grandma doesn't mean to be cruel, it's just the misinterpretations she's been fed, she believes in the old school way of thinking.
