That whole lame story about "the human species splitting in two" is a prime example. I noticed quite a few comments trying to rationalize such nonsense. It is good that Curry is working in progessively secular UK. He is just putting a new spin on eugenics,

The speaker of the house on Nov 8 1859 gave a speech before a packed house and said the following: I personally do not own a slave BUT I will NEVER stand in the WAY of another mans LEGAL right to OWN a slave. Slavery should be always SAFE & LEGAL. The house erupted into applause!!!!!

These Pro-Slavery representives share the EXACT view that that the Pro-Abortion camps do.........they don't respect human life!

The Slave owners didn't believe the Africans were human...the Pro-Abortion people don't believe a baby is a human.

The first Pro-Choice movement (formed in 1851) used "science" to prove that the black man was sub-human in the EXACT same way the Pro-Abortion use "science" to say babies aren't "real" humans.

We have now murdered 40,000,000 Babies.

As we look back on slavery we can't believe this REALLY happened legally in America...one day I hope we can look back and say the EXACT thing...I can't believe what we did!!

Do you agree?

"A house divided against itself cannot stand." I am not interested in Democrats versus Republican answers. I am interested in answers from people who think that we as a "house" Nation are becoming divided against ourselves and why you think that this is true for today or not.

Religion wasn't crammed down my throat. Don't assume that every theist was just raised with religion all their life. sometimes it comes their belief comes later in life. So what was the extent of your religious upbringing? Is it a factor in your belief or lack of belief.

Here's some scenarios;
1. I was forced to go everyday, pray everyday, and religion was crammed up my butt everyday
2. Never was mentioned or talked about
3. We went sometimes
4. My parents went, but I wasn't required to go
5. I was exposed to a various kinds of religion.

If a law passed in the name of morality has immoral consequences, destroying the lives of those who made a youthful mistake, can the law truly be considered moral?

There are always unintended consequences and I think when we try to legislate from self-roughhouses we risk harm in ways that was never intended.

Christ taught that we will be judged on the same ground that we judge others. Isn’t this exactly what we risk when our laws make unreasonably harsh judgments that destroy lives?

I'm a social work major who plans on moving to the San Francisco Bay Area. I'll be a lot more competitive if I am bilingual Spanish speaking. At the age of 22, is it too late to start studying a foreign language?

I did 2 years of French in high school and have since forgotten most of what I learned.

Is it possible they have a culture that cultivates this somehow? If not.....what could possible be the answer? Especially puzzling since they are suppose to be the strongest at upholding the moral standards of their particular faith.

There is a girl who keeps coming back to me and hurting me because she doesn't know what she wants. I am on fire for God but the devil keeps reminding me of how much I love her. God may let us be together when she realizes what she wants, or she may not be right, though at a time I was sure she was. We go to the same church, finding a new church isn't really an option. How can I keep my spirituality, focus on God in church, and not be depressed?

In order to be a Good Muslim you should follow Mohammad's (PBUH) example... so therefore you SHOULD marry a 6-year old girl and consumate the marriage when she is 9... Right???

Or am I just confused???

Is this not a phrase which describes exactly why religion was concieved of in the earliest of ages? Only each respective time stamp on this earth its leaders simply created divinity and usually included themselves in said lineage. Circa Egyptian mythos, ect ect. This phrase truly disturbs me. Fear god? Do you believe another term should be used? Perhaps 'respect' god? I think Fear of god imbelishes on the weaknesses of man to tend to the will of powerful dictators and political leaders to sway thongs of followers toward their sides.

The term "The fear of God" to me, means he is evil. You should never have to fear that which created you. This would rule out any religion involving god, jesus, muhammad, the bible or any of its incarnations.

I do not fear god, i refuse to fear that which does not exist.
