Yes because all the evidences from science bears the fact that we have a young earth. These are the true facts honest science gives the world. And so Christians just parrot what true real science discovered and declared. Don't be so fanatical with your athiestic religion. Be fair and be balance. Young earth does not come from Christianity. When God declares in Genesis 1:1 that "in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth," no one knows when that beginning actually begins. Only God knows.

I don't see where the Bible even tells us the age of the earth. I look at it this way-- If God created everything in the universe, then he easily could have made it look old from the start. One week after creation there may be trees that are full grown and stars that appear to be billions of years old.
