I live in an apartment complex. About once a week, my new neighbor cranks his bass to 11. Here are the steps I have already taken.

1. I asked him to turn it down, and I was ignored.
2. I have contacted the rental office at least 3 times.
3. I have pounded on the floor (he lives below me).
4. I have cranked my bass to drown his out (probably bothers my other neighbors).

I don't want to contact the police for two reasons. For one, I don't want to start trouble. Secondly, it sometimes happens in the middle of the day and I don't think they could do anything.

I am tired of calling the office. I am probably annoying them just as much as my neighbor is annoying me. I love music. I am not a 75 year old guy, but when I want to relax in MY apartment, I should be able to. Should I send him a letter? Should I call the cops? I don't want to start trouble or make him seek revenge on me. Any ideas? Thanks so much for reading my question!

How do you reason with the mean and vendicitve behavior or actions of God in the OT? The OT God is so extremely cruel, mean and shows so much favoritism. He encourages killing of children/babies, women and even raping of women.

he wants u to pay him tribute for his "protection" (from Satan), otherwise he will "whack" you (hell). Or u can compare him to the IRS, pay ur taxes or get shot.

Interestingly enough, if you live in America, you should understand that most of the world thinks you are ignorant and imperialist. Many countries, even the ones you "help," often dislike you.

As well, the number 1 religion (and way of life one would practice) is Christianity.

So, my question is, do you think their is a direct connection between your countries reputation, as a whole, and the main religion that most follow?

Keep in mind that most ideals one has stem from their belief system. Your belief system is mainly Christian and the world dislikes you:

are you spiritual or religious. i am a young lady who grew up in religion but fell out ten years back due to the fact that i have a gift to see the future. i realized that i somethings werent clear so i left the church.one thing i have always known was/is that am spiritual. where do you fall and why.

(he passed in 1986)..I particularly like to fly fish and see the fish surface as he strikes the lure...Now it's been about 25 years or so since I been fishing because I can hardly bear to watch the fish gasping for air..what do you think Jesus would say about this?...I know a number of his disciples were fisherman..Thanks.

Sorry if I seem a little... sarcastic? Perhaps I am just mocking all the typical responses people hear when faced with religion, or, maybe I really do want to find the answer.

But another one, if everything happens for a reason, then how can there be free will? If you decide to take the left road, of your own free will, well, it was meant to happen. There was a reason for it. So... how does that tie in together? If you live a life of debauchery and sin, ...was that meant to happen as well? Did that happen for a reason? ...Or are people who give us that 'everything happens for a reason' just trying to get us to stop with the questions?

Any responses are welcome. Sarcastic, serious, enlightening, insulting (*ahem*beanerjr2002 ;P), etc.

I don't understand the shock that this is happening. With this secular nation this was bound to happen sooner or later. Anything goes, screw the parents, and EVERYONE has earned respect from the moment they are born.

Now a student in school can basically tell a teacher do go -uck off, and not much will be done to them. If a teachaer even attempts to discipline the child, that child can press charges. Students are allowed to offened another group under the cloak of free speech.

This has become a entitlement, lack of personal responsibility nation. This is only the beginning.
