The big difference between God and the mafia is: the mafia wants you to pay them tribute for one reason, and that's to line their pockets.God wants you to do whats right not only for your sake but for the sake of others. he wants us to love and care for each other because that will make the world a better place. not only that he created us so why shouldn't he be able to decide how we conduct ourselves?

Nope, just look at the Godfather, he would send one of his goons (minions) to whack you. Instead God takes us out stealthily, whether inside from disease or some other ailment, or outside with natural disasters or whatever.
Of course there are those people who are actually whacked but that's the respective Godfather's doing, not God.

God is spirit. The Mafia is not.
God existed before He created everything you we observe. The Mafia didn't.
God gave us a whole book, the Mafia gave us nothing.

God is Holy and Just, the mafia is not.
People don't go to hell for sin, they go to hell for not accepting Christ.

Depends on ones view of God. I personally don't believe in a God that punishes people with hell or rewards them with heaven.

.....why does anyone pray?? Doesnt God already know everything and doesnt he control everything??
Does the person who pray the most get the most?? Is it a contest with God?? Does he keep score??
It occurs to me that praying is very selfish b/c God already knows it all and controls it all, so it makes no sense to me....unless of course God is just pure fiction....mmmmmm....

you dont have to pay anything to still worship, you wont go to hell if you dont shell out dough to your church. And likewise, if you put a lot of money in your church, it wont buy your way into heaven.
