We all matter in life, but yes sometimes life can feel like it is passing you by and that if you left who would miss you.
This is a negative way of looking at life, of course all life has a meaning and a reason for being. I had to take cognitive therapy to see that life interconnects us, of course I knew this, but had forgotten the importance of meditating on it.
Its like when you throw a pebble in a pond and the ripples caused by it. Any action you take will have ripples, we are constantly thrown into situations that require choices on our part, with choices come more ripples, think of all the choices you made, what if you had not made that certain choice you don't have to go back too far to see that you may not have met someone you really like now and they you. and so on.
That was just an example everytime you help someone no matter how small it may seem to you to the other person whom you've helped you are their hero. Live life, take part, only you can make the choice to matter you don't have to be a star because you already are a star in your mother's eye and a proud father I'm sure loves you. When things get bad they can only get better. Peace

All the time. I think everyone does at some point (or pretty frequently). In a world of billions and billions of people, what do I matter?

I ask that everyday. With six billion other people on this planet, does one person really matter? Not really.

we all do. Our lives are pretty irrelevant compared to the greater whole. But we just accept that, cause nothings going to change it. For me, as long as im happy, i could care less

Yes. Everyone does at one point in their lives.
Keep trying, take chances, and stand up for what you believe in and you will make your mark..
