In comparison, it's like asking a straight person to fall for someone his/her own gender. There is just no attraction. You just can't force these things.

So is God 'imperfect' for creating sinful creatures by birth by their definition?

I think when you read His teachings, how he advocated forgiveness, love of enemies, loving those who hate you, that Jesus would have said that the use of the death penalty is always wrong.

What do you think Jesus would have said about capital punishment?

I started a family tradtion a few years ago. We get our tree's the day after Thanksgiving. For two good reasons. First, because everyone in my family is off tha day and second because all of the trees hit the lots about that time. My thought was the longer you wait to get your tree, the more dead it will look. If you get it early, you can take it home, cut off the stump end and put it in water. Anyone else agree!?

Can anyone give me a duaa (sp?) to say that will help me be stronger in my consistency to pray? This is a question from my heart because I hate that I don’t pray consistently.

Can some one prove me wrong?

I'm becoming agitated by a problem I'm having.

Many Christians tell me that I should be willing to hear whatever they have to say. And in most cases, I am--I'll listen to their words of God.

But VERY FEW are willing to accept that, quite frankly, I don't feel I am obligated to listen to certain people.

Once, a 52 year old woman took me on as her charity case. But she wasn't as nice as most--she harassed me daily, about my atheism. Each time I blocked her, she made a new account. At one point, she even began to send my friends messages, telling them complete and total LIES about me, in an attempt to make them hate me for my lack of belief in "God." She said she was "saving" them from my non-God-fearing ways.

When she attempted to hack my account, I felt I had every right to make her GO AWAY. Leave me alone.

And yet, just a few minutes ago, I was informed that I was "obligated" to give this woman my time.

Why won't some people UNDERSTAND!?

If so, did they? "Yes" won't cut it. Please provide screennames.

If not, what does this say about the power of prayer?

I'm looking for REAL answers. Before my dad passed away in January, we agreed that if there were ways to communicate after death, he would find a way. Since then, the following has happened:
1) My daughter was walking into her new school with an attitude. She said that morning she heard my dad say, "Straighten up, kid!" She didn't see him often but this was his vernacular. It made her change her attitude, right away.
2) When she was alone in the car the other day she saw him standing next to it and peering in at her.
3) We've had many incidents of the radio tuning in certain songs all by it's self and the car door locks flipping up and down; I don't have a short.
4) She's seen him twice in out house, screamed bloody murder.
5) I didn't believe all this until I SWEAR I saw him a week ago. When I asked her to describe him, he looked exactly the same as my sighting. Blue shirt, etc.
6) At his funeral a friend is still talking about seeing him there.

It's seems to me that the Latino gangs love whites then Blacks but Is this true that Hispanic people or mexicans can't hate whites because there skin is pale. Sometimes I wish that, I can be white so mexicans and other Hispanic people can like me.

One dude on youtube said that Hispanic people can't hates Whites becasuse the skin is white. This sad that people of color is killing each other! I wish the earth will end.

The U.S. government has banned the flag-folding recitations at all 125 national cemeteries. The banning came as the result of one complaint. The situation is similar to that in which one person removed prayer from schools.
This article from The Associated Press explains the situation:
Complaints about religious content have led to a ban on flag-folding recitations by Veterans Administration employees and volunteers at all national cemeteries.
At thousands of military burials, VA volunteers have folded the American flag 13 times and recited the significance of each fold to survivors. The 11th fold glorifies "the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.” The 12th glorifies "God the Father, the Son and Holy Ghost."
Citing a need for uniformity, the National Cemetery Administration has prohibited unpaid VA volunteers as well as employees from conducting the recital at all 125 national cemeteries.

yesterday i asked a question about the transcription of the bible and a christian told me:

"Overwhelmingly, these 'mistakes' are grammatical, capitalization, punctuation, misspellings, and other minor transcription errors as such. Less than 0.5% of the 'mistakes' misplace one word for another (such as us using 'huge' for 'enormous') and NONE of these inconsistencies even slightly alters a bit of doctrine."

I had heard that there a considerable amount (not a ton, of course) of copies, that aren't gnostic or heretical ones, but rather are ones that are considered reliable, that have noticeable yet slight variations in some verses that have at least minute differences in doctrine.
Not enought to destroy the veracity of the bible of course, but challenging enough that that it is still a moot point point between bible scholars.
Isn't this so?

Traditionally we give gifts to our coaches at the end as a means to thank them for their hard work and dedication throughout the season.
In the past we just spread the news by word of mouth, but I'm writing a short note and providing them an envelope to enclose the money-- I have a general idea of what i would like to say, but if anyone can make any improvements or better suggestions i would really appreciate it! Thank you!

As a thank you gift for all of Coach X and Y's hardwork and dedication this season, we have decided to give them a gift card to Z. Please enclose $8 dollars in the provided envelope and return to A or B as soon as possible. Thank you!

My mom is supportive in my conversion to Judaism, but only because she thinks I will discover Jesus is the true messiah. That is NOT why I am converting. I don't believe he is! She thinks I will turn on the beauty and truth I have found and go the completely opposite way! I said,"Well, I guess I'll have to get used to people throwing Jesus in my face." To which she responded, "Don't talk about him like that!" I told her it was her opinion that he was the messiah, and she said it was not her opinion, it is a fact. But I know for a fact that he was not. Gentiles distorted the Hebrew scriptures to fit THEM and their lifestyles. Christianity is completely pagan, and I don't want to be pagan. The messiah does not proclaim himself like Jesus did, and virgin births are from the pagan beliefs of gods impregnating human women. The messiah is not supposed to be worshiped, only G-d. I love my mom very much, and I will no longer argue with her about this. How can I avoid altercation with her?

why is it that all faiths in the world believe they are the only ones right.why do they believe that there one book can sum up a entity that created the universe and everything in it and more.do we forget that there has been many other faiths in the past that believed as strongly in there god or gods as the faiths of the world do now such as the Greeks believed in there gods.why is it wrong for new proven facts to come out and be accepted even if it destroys the faith systems we have now?
