your right of course it has pagan origins dating all the way
back to ancient egypt. The babalonian empire had many
trinitys of gods . So did the greeks all the way to the romans
So when Rome became christian in the 4th century They fused many of their pagan teachings with christianity
So through the roman catholics we have the trinity
john 1.1 is a spurious verse changed by a man called Erasamus ...... all true

It is completely up to you what you believe. The Holy Trinity is an idea that can be neither proven or disproven with solid evidence, however tha bible can be and it supports the Holy Trinity. I suggest you read the bible and make up your own mind once your know all of the facts.
Also, the Trinity does not mean that there are three Gods like some people seem to think, it is just a way to explain God as having three main parts, the father who is the creator, the son who came to Earth and the Holy Spirit who comes into our hearts.

Trinity is a reasonable assumption according to Orthodox Christianity based on scripture. he non trinitarion beliefs prmoted by some cults grew from heretical schisms that appeared over time. There is sufficient evidence from scripture to indicate trinity although that word in particular isn't used. But as far as proving goes it would be difficult enough to prove the existance of God alone to someone demanding absolute proof.I

I agree with you.
My belief in God is that of the Father, the Son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. Three separate and distinct beings. God the Father is a glorified man with a body of flesh and bone as tangible as ours, The Son of God, Jesus the Christ, the Messiah, who rose from the dead with a real solid body, as attested to in the new testament, is a glorified man.
The Holy Ghost is a personage of spirit. Not yet possessing a physical body but serving the purpose of confirming truth to the honest seeker of truth,in all its places, for all truth is of one great whole.
When the Holy Scriptures speak of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost/Spirit as one this implies they are one in purpose which purpose is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.

That's fine. Which part. God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit? Or do you reject them all. You can't be saved without the Holy Spirit drawing you. You can't find forgiveness without Jesus. You can reject the doctrine but to do so rejects the persons of the Trinity.

No. Nor could they prove you right. Nor could someone on the opposite position be proved right or wrong.
Hell, I reject the doctrine of Christianity as a whole, and I've yet to be proven wrong.

It is not my job to prove you wrong. God reveals himself in the trinity, both in the Old Testament and the New. He never calls it a trinity, but he reveals himself as creator, man and spirit. We call them Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Man was cerated in the image of God right? Or so says scripture. Therefore to answer this qustion we must look at mankind.
mankind is triune: spirit, soul, and body
see here:
1 Thess 5:
23: And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
So if man is triune so is God, since we are made in His image, and scripture backs up this trinity.
Now imagine if each part of you; spirit, soul, and body were given their own life. Wouldn't each part be still you? So it is with God. scripture even tells us that the Father and Jesus have their own life.
Joh 5:26
For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath
he given to the Son to have life in himself;

No. If you wanna reject it explicitly, implicitly, or simplicitly, you go on with your bad self. Neither the Church nor I will lose any sleep about that.

No one can. And nobody can prove to you that it's wrong either. That's the beauty of FAITH, man-it can't be proven or disproven. I've always trusted in it, and I've never been any worse for it. My life is wonderful in spite of the bad stuff. As for me, I do believe that God is three- the Father, Jesus (for he says that he is God and the Son of God), and the Holy Spirit- which pops up so many places it should have its own movie too. ^^
