And don't give me that verse from the Old Testament that mentions "the circle of the Earth": a circle is FLAT, like a quarter, not ROUND like a ball, so that verse does not help the believers' case one bit...

My 6 yr old bro just told me that his teacher hit him on the thigh today at school and he broke down in tears and told me that the teacher also pushed him over and said "I don't want to work with you anymore."
She has also slapped his wrist before apparently 2 yrs ago.
I have only just found out about this.
The headteacher (principal for you americans),, is holding a meeting before school tomorrow to discuss it. I am so angry at this teacher.. I am 14 by the way.
What is appropriate action to take?
And i will NOT be at the meeting tomorrow because I have to go to school myself.

What do you think about this exercise in praying with a thankful heart?

1) Think of a person that bugs the crap out of you. I don't mean somebody who occasionally annoys you. I mean somebody who consistently makes you want to wring his skinny neck.

2) Say a short prayer of thanks for that person, but (this is the hard and the important part) make sure that when you pray there isn't any rancor or hate or ill-will in your heart; make sure that when you pray for that person, you are feeling nothing but thanks to God for whatever lesson that person teaches you.

Caveat: Your prayer can't criticize that person; you can't tell God "to heal that idiot" or "teach him the error of his sinful ways." It has to be a prayer of thanksgiving for that person and you have to do it with as much love in your heart as you can.

I'll settle for good will if mustering up true brotherly love is impossible.

I couldnt sit through more than the first few minutes, I was so disgusted with the parlour tricks...

This woman claims to speak with the dead. Her first guests are two women - sisters about 30-35yo. They sit and she introduces herself and says how she does things - she will need a personal object of the deceased person. They give her a necklace - miraculously, she "feels" that it belonged to their mother!!! OMG, it must be real, right??

It took me about 10 seconds to figure it out. Two ladies, both sisters and around mid-30's in age - whom are these two women most likely to have lost? A PARENT, right? The necklace - OBVIOUSLY female jewelry. So, she states "mom" and both girls grab each others hands quickly - thus confirming to the "psychic" that she is on target so far...

Why do people fall for this BS? I'll admit - the woman was good at what she does, but it was so transparent as a parlour trick, I couldnt watch more than 10 minutes...

Obviously if this is not meant for you, then don't comment please. This is for the rascals. Do you really speak this way in real life, face to face with others or is this forum a place to take out your nasty, rude remarks on others, because no one knows who you are? Do you think your mother would be proud of your words here? Would you be proud of your child if they where treating others like you are? Don't give me the judgment of judging others line, because that is just not acceptable. Les't not be an ebarassment to The Universe, because even if we can't see who you are, the Servants of this Universe can.

Im collecting information of Religion conversion with referance to process of Legal conversion in maharastra (India),

Someone who have converted to islam told me that with having an affidevit signed before notary one can assumed himself as converted legaly. And use this affidevit for Haj, Nikah etc

But a person who holds little bit info about legal process told me that on having the above affidevit one needs to present it before city collector or megistrate to get the final approval or certification of religion conversion..

Here Im confused a bit and need suggestions in respect of law process in Maharastra for Religion Conversion

Please dont include procedures of arya samaj, kaziyat and church Since I only need it in context of Lawful conversion.

What "powers" do you possess? I'm curious. I've heard a couple people that I know mention that they practice Wicca because of "power". I'm just wondering what can you do? Can you levitate, fly on a broom, cast spells? I'm not trying to put anyone down, I just want to know what's really happening. I only ask because the people I know that are Wiccan can't do anything. Our Pastor had told us that all Christians should as a matter of faith in and devotion to Jesus, demonstrate the changes in dietary habits that he preached, and more. In this way we show that we are not Jews or Muslims but Christians. This would have no impact on the dietary habits of those religions, but Christians, as a form of daily communion and fellowship should partake of pork, shellfish and so forth. Has your church joined yet in this quiet statement of faith? It requires little effort and it does make a definite statement of faith in the Christ and his teachings.

nobody can scientifically prove that Creation is true (God said something and poof, there we were, come on!!!) , and nobody can scientifically prove that Evolution is true (where are the missing links, how come we still aren't evolving, where did the Common Ancestor come from?). so Christians believe by faith in Creation and Atheists believe by faith in Evolution.
