The obeisance and honors due the Christ should remain unambiguously subject to the "exclusive devotion" which is owed to the Father, Jehovah God. The Scriptures quite plainly show that true worship is uniquely devoted to the person of Almighty Jehovah God the Father.
As the questioner notes, Jesus personally taught that Jehovah deserves a unique form of "sacred service".
(Matthew 4:10) Jesus said... ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.’
(Luke 4:8) Jesus said... ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.’
(Exodus 20:5) I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion
Jehovah the Father specifically directs that Jesus the Son receive obeisance and honor. Note that Jesus is at God's right hand and has *BECOME* better than the angels.
(Hebrews 1:6) [God] says: “And let all God’s angels do obeisance to him [Jesus].”
(Hebrews 1:3-4) [Jesus] sat down on the right hand of the Majesty in lofty places. So he has become better than the angels
From where does Christ's authority come?
(Matthew 28:18) And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth.
(Acts 2:36) God made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you impaled.
(John 3:35) The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.
(Acts 5:31) God exalted this one as Chief Agent and Savior to his right hand
(Psalm 2:2-6) The kings of earth take their stand And high officials themselves have massed together as one Against Jehovah and against his anointed one... Jehovah himself will hold them in derision..., Saying: “I, even I, have installed my king [Jesus]

The God Jesus worshipped is Jehovah, his heavenly father and the God I also worship. He is the only True God, Sovereign of the Universe and God Almighty. When on earth Jesus made his fathers name known and preached the good news of the Kingdom. Never did Jesus promote worship of himself, nor did he want it. Phillipians 2:6 who, although he was existing in God’s form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God. 7 No, but he emptied himself and took a slave’s form and came to be in the likeness of men. 8 More than that, when he found himself in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient as far as death, yes, death on a torture stake. 9 For this very reason also God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every [other] name, 10 so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground, 11 and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

Since he only worshiped his Father, Jehovah, the answer is clear. In all things, he advanced his Father's name and glory. Even when he had every right to be tired and need rest, he kept on teaching people about his Father.

Jesus was worshiped by the wise men, (Matthew 2:11) , by his disciples (Matthew 14:33 and 28:17, Luke 24:52) by a blind man who he healed (John 9:38) and by some of his female disciples (Matthew 28:9)
The Bible forbids us to worship a people or angels (Revelation 19:10), so Jesus cannot be either. In fact Hebrews 1:6 says that all of the angels worshiped Him.
Worship of Jesus is acceptable in the Bible

Jesus taught us to only worship God. Jesus accepted worship. This would only be appropriate if Jesus was God.
Matthew 8:2 Behold, a leper came to him and worshiped him, saying, "Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean."
Matthew 9:18 While he told these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped him, saying, "My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live."
Matthew 14:33 Then the men in the boat began to worship Jesus, saying, "You certainly are the Son of God!"
Matthew 28:9 Suddenly Jesus met them and said, "Greetings!" They went up to him, took hold of his feet, and worshiped him.
Compare these to the response of worshiping an angel:
Revelation 22:8-9 I, John, heard and saw these things. When I had heard and seen them, I bowed down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing me these things. (9) But he told me, "Don't do that! I am a fellow servant with you, your brothers the prophets, and those who keep the words in this book. Worship God!"

You've misrepresented Matthew 4:10 - that is in his dialogue with Satan, where Satan asks for worship. Surely - SURELY - you are not asking us to compare worship of Jesus with worship of Satan?
By the way, the correct modern pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton is Yahweh.
