nobody can scientifically prove that Creation is true (God said something and poof, there we were, come on!!!) , and nobody can scientifically prove that Evolution is true (where are the missing links, how come we still aren't evolving, where did the Common Ancestor come from?). so Christians believe by faith in Creation and Atheists believe by faith in Evolution. Hey, you guys believe what you want, but Atheists, don't give us no more crap about how you have 0 faith. That's bull----.

you don't have to scientifically prove that creation is true to know that the evolution story is false.

works both ways

You ignorant, ignorant people. you call the Christians close minded, but i think the most closed minded stubborn people in the world are the Atheists. and no i will never take that back.

discombobulated, please share with me the proof about evolution, because from what i see and here, every thing they are finding out is proving it to be false.

Whatever...Spin it however it makes you feel better. But I agree with Sho-Nuff.

Wow, look at the sweet little christian, calling us names. That is not how a "true" christian is supposed to act. Shame on you.

You are wrong. I have no faith in anything that would be based on a religious belief.

Science can explain things that our ancestors used to explain with religion. Once upon a time everyone believed the sun revolved around the Earth. Then science proved that was false. Once upon a time everyone believed God created man from dirt. Science has dug up lots of evidence that that is not true. Scientist may not have "enough" proof yet but it is coming along nicely. In the past 100 years they've made huge leaps forward. You try to discredit it because of some missing links. Well at least part of the chain is showing. Christians can't even show us where the chain starts or stops. They just say have faith that it's there.

Evolution hasn't stopped. Look back as close as 300 years ago. Humans are taller by more than a foot.

You obviously do not understand science or what a scientific theory is. It is not a guess. Evolution is considered to be true by science and an understanding of evolution has led to advances in biology and genetics. Scientists do not believe in evolution because of faith, they do so because of the evidence that supports it.

The same cannot be said of the bible. There is no evidence to support the creation stories of the bible. In fact, there is much evidence that refutes it. The age of the earth and the geologic study of the planet show that many of those tales cannot be true. However, there are people who still believe in the bible based on "faith". They do not do so because of evidence but instead of a need for a god to treat them like children. How about grow up and start to see the world for what it is and stop believing in fairy tales?

You want people to believe in creation? Then give them evidence to support it. Give something in the geologic history or something scientific that can be measured somehow that indicates that the creation story is true. Don't try to pass the bible off as evidence. It is evidence that man were story tellers a few thousand years ago. That is about it.

Something to think about. Whenever science and religion have disagreed in the past, science has always turned out to be right.

Lol. But we can prove that creation is made-up. A 2 year old can.. How did all the animals fit in Noah's Ark? How did the animals return to their habitat after the flood? How can an arctic or antarctic animal survive in the desert heat? Where did all the water come from where did it go? Why are there no giant or unicorn fossils? The Bible says they existed. What about the dinosaurs? Then there's a million other questions that nobody can answer without spouting complete unsubtantiated BS.

Now see, evolution is a scientific theory, there's lots of evidence supporting it. It's the 21st century, you should abandon your Bronze Age myths.

The number of ridiculous and false statements that you've made here is nearly overwhelming.

But- to start with #1. Atheists don't have faith. Faith is when you believe in something without evidence. It is, by definition, the opposite of reason.

There is 150 years, millions of artifacts from different branches of science, millions of research papers all that support the theory of evolution. Basically, the evidence is overwhelming. Whether you call that 'proof' or not, is up to you. The evidence for Creation is on old book that has magical and fantastic tales in it. That's about it. There is no other evidence in support of creation, and quite a bit against it.

Hundreds of 'missing links' have been found. New links between species are found every year.

I have no 'faith' in evolution. If evidence is presented to me that refutes it and supports some other method, such as creation, I'll consider it just as well.

your concept of what an atheist believes is based on your own view of the world. not ours.

*Drink*

Do I try?

So called Missing links (species that evolved from previous ones) are being found all the time. The problem with you people is that you shrug them away and point that the next one hasn't been found so that's proof evolution doesn't work. Despite all the 'links' that have been found already

we are still evolving. Evolution doesn't happen over two or three generations but over hundreds. The reason wisdom teeth are such a problem is that our jaws have evolved and are smaller than our caveman ancestors. The reason we are having less problem with them is that the teeth are slowly disappearing. You won't live long enough to see the total disappearance of wisdom teeth

The common ancestor comes from the homo line, and lately it has been thought that it might be the apes which evolved away from that ancestor rather than man.

Edit : wow, Jade, such powerful arguments and wide ranging vocabulary. I bet your teachers are impressed by your homework.

There are millions of facts that support the Theory of Evolution. I do not need any faith to trust that it is true, any more than I need faith to trust that the Earth will continue spinning and that the sun will rise tomorrow.

Meanwhile there are mountains of evidence that directly contradicts the biblical version of creation, or any of the creation myths come to that. Evolution is just one pebble in that mountain

I am an atheist. I do not believe in anything. I trust in certain things but that is based on evidence and prior experience.

That is the truth. If you can not cope with it and have to make up stories and bogus arguments that is your problem, not mine.

Edit:
Where do you get the right to call us ignorant? You claim to be almost 15. I am more than twice your age and have been considering and studying this stuff for longer than you have been on this planet. You are the one acting with a closed mind, you are the one who is ignorant of the information about evolution.

Come back when you have actually bothered to educate yourself on the subject, if you dare.

You could do worse than to start here:
http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/comdesc/

and work your way though the rest of the talkorigins site. All the creationist myths are debunked there. There are some that claim that this is a biased site, well yes it is. But that is because the truth is biased. Again, sorry if you can not cope with reality.

Ummm ... evolution has acceptably been proven to be 'true'. That's why its the commonly accepted scientific theory about the diversity of life.

We are still evolving. Humans are considerably taller than they were a hundred and fifty years ago. The answer to where our common ancestor came from can be found in any biology textbook. Several transitional fossils have been found, more will most likely be uncovered as time progresses. After all, every single fossil wasn't available to scientists when they started practicing archaeology.

There are gaps in the theory of evolution but that's why its called a theory and not a law but their is also evidence and proof of evolution. Religion has none and that is why faith is required for religion because faith is believing in something without any proof or reason to do so. It does not take faith to believe in something like evolution that does have proof. You need to get a dictionary and look up the word it may help you understand better.

Your attempt at logic has failed.
Evolution has been prove to be true. You can not accept it because you are incapable of understanding.
There is no indisputable proof of creation nor is there indisputable proof of god. Get over it

We are close-minded?
Really? It is you who is close-minded my dear, but also blind to see that science has more creditable and plausible explanations than your silly religion

Edit
Evolution does NOT happen overnight. You for some silly reason think that is proof of evolution.

edit2:
I know what you are. A troubled teenager who is taking out her personal problems on people that have nothing to do with it and is trying use Atheists as scapegoats while assuming religion is going to help her by praying.

It's not a matter of faith, It is a matter if which way the evidence points. If there were any credible evidence for creationism or ID then we would probably believe that. No one has presented an argument to me that leads to anything other then evolution.
