Im collecting information of Religion conversion with referance to process of Legal conversion in maharastra (India),

Someone who have converted to islam told me that with having an affidevit signed before notary one can assumed himself as converted legaly. And use this affidevit for Haj, Nikah etc

But a person who holds little bit info about legal process told me that on having the above affidevit one needs to present it before city collector or megistrate to get the final approval or certification of religion conversion..

Here Im confused a bit and need suggestions in respect of law process in Maharastra for Religion Conversion

Please dont include procedures of arya samaj, kaziyat and church Since I only need it in context of Lawful conversion.

Conversion to any religion requires the actual conversion done by the religious leader/priest of the religion. In case of conversion to Muslim religion a proper procedure is conducted by the main priest/quasi authorized to convert any none Muslim to Muslim religion, what all are the various procedure to be conducted can only be checked from the Muslim priest/quasi. Yes the said conversion is complete on the issuing of the conversion certificate issued by such Muslim Priest/Quasi. Now as far the conversion to Hindu religion is concerned that is conducted by the Arya Samaj Mandir by Shudhi karan & issuing of certificate regarding such conversion. The Christian conduct the process of baptism where by any none Christian is taken to the Christian community & a certificate is issued with regard to this baptism. As far using such religious certificates for any purpose is concerned their copies can be duly attested by the notary public or the first class magistrate as the requirement is concerned. As far giving any affidavit with regard to this conversion is concerned for any purpose, it will have to be seen what the requirement is? If it is specific asked to give an affidavit with regard to this which should be attested by the first class magistrate then one has to give that otherwise a notary attested affidavit can also be given along with the copy of the conversion certificate as discussed above.
