...have a child via artificial insemination since he would still be chaste? Or any priest for that matter? If he did, how do you think the church would respond?

No!

You have to get past the fact that in order for one to make a rational decision, or a decision enough to evoke your pursuasiveness, one must not stand on proof, or facts alone, to make that decision. Just because I can't see God, doesn't mean there isn't enough evidence to back up His existence in coming to a rational decision. So you want facts, or proof of His existence so that you can know He exists? Well, it would be impossible to have any facts to back up His existence. The real fact is, you are required to use reason, to make a rational decision, and you MUST do this through a DEGREE of faith. Why do I say degree of faith, and not faith alone? Because faith alone, is called blind faith. Say you were to tell me to put my faith in a pink unicorn. I would tell you no, there is no evidence for there being a pink unicorn. Tell me to put my faith into God. I would tell you yes, there is evidence of order in this world, which suggests Creation.

I don't understand why churches use humanitarian funds for overhead and fund raising expenses. Some churches contribute as low as 80% of all donates in helping others. How can a religion feel good about what they do when they get paid for it. that's not service. My church gives 100% of donations. All workers in the program help as volunteers. They are the only ones i know that do that. What are your thoughts?

Astronomers know that stars are millions of light-years away so that implies that the universe had to exist atleast millions of years so that the light from these stars could travel to earth.

So do you think all the astronomers are lying about their scientific findings?

Nevermind about all the geologists and biologists you also think are lying.

In order for prayer to be effective you first have to pretend (have faith) that it is effective. If you pretend hard enough you can then pretend that the prayer was effective, whether it was or not.

I hope I’m catching on, sometimes I feel rather inept.

do so many Christians, when pressed by atheists, furiously argue that there is copious TANGIBLE evidence for god, "all around us." We all know faith is belief without evidence, but they go to great lengths to attempt to prove god exists via evidence... by dissecting science, by demonstrating the odds against the spontaneous assembly of DNA, by arguing how thermodynamics favor a god and a "created" universe, by marveling at the physical complexity of intelligently designed things like trees and eyeballs.

But according to god, the only thing that matters is faith, so shouldn't all Christians automatic response to atheists simply be, "you just have to believe." Isn't this what god instructed them to do?

Why do they bother trying to prove god exists through EMPIRICAL methods? In a sense, each time they use these empirical techniques to try and prove god, aren't they disobeying the very instruction god tells them is most important... belief without question - through faith?

Sure, you may not believe in him...BUT... why answer the question then? Nobody asked for your two cents worth anyhow. That's just not an answer, why not just skip the question. I find it just rude...Obviously the person who asked the question believes in God or is asking it hypothetically therefore God existing is certain.

I bought my daughters halloween costumes yesterday. They cost like 50 bucks! On the back of the recipt it says that you can return things for up to 90 days after your purchase, as long as it still has the tags on it. I was thinking I could just tuck their tags in and take them trick or treating. That way I can return them after halloween is over, and get my money back. Rules are rules right? They are only going to wear them once. I think it's smart, but dad says it's toooo ghetto. What do you think?

Adam and Eve is of course a fairytale, but believe it or not, Islam takes this fairytale and makes it even more absurd.

First of all, in Islam, Adam is essentially the same, being the first man and falling from God's goodwill, but now hes a full fledged Prophet!

Now the whole purpose of a prophet is to bring humanity a message from God, but of course, since Adam is the first human, next to insignificant Eve (Islamic version), THERE IS NO HUMANITY TO DELIVER A MESSAGE TO!!!

The Quran goes even further still with the story about Iblis. Not only was Adam a prophet to a non-existent people, but he was a semi-deity as Allah demanded the angels and Iblis to bow down to the all-mightey Adam.

What about Eve you ask? No...no prophethood for her...all she had to do with give birth to mankind...so she didnt merit and prophethood or bowing...

She adopted a rescue dog, provided it with training so that the dog would be a part of her family. Things didn't work out, so she gave the dog to a close friend who was looking for another dog. The kids loved the dog and the dog fit right in. The rescue agency demanded the dog back due to terms in the contract that Ellen had broken. Yes, I realize that she did break the contract, but she did find a great home for the dog. What are your thoughts?

The Creation is recorded in Genesis 1-2.

A Widespread teaching today holds that each day of Creation week wasn't a twenty-four hour day but a long period of time, perhaps billions of years long.

This day-age theory is taught by many who profess to believe the bible. They feel this theory solves one of the many problems faced by advocates of theistic evolution. But the Bible is totally against the day-age concept. Seventh-day adventists and many sincere Bible students reject such a theory.

When the Lord declares he made the world in six days and rested on the seventh, He makes it plain." HE MEANS A DAY OF TWENTY-FOUR HOURS", for he says, " THE EVENING AND THE MORNING WERE THE FIRST DAY.....THE EVENING AND THE MORNING WERE THE SECOND DAY.....THE EVENING AND THE MORNING WERE THE THIRD DAY," and so on. These words are literal and explicit that God did not need billions of years to create the earth as Scientists advocate. A day with God at creation was a 24 hour period.
