My daughter has lost some pearls that I gave her that was a gift from her deceased father to me. Do you believe if you and I agree they will be brought back to her ,,quickly? I do and I will agree that it be done..if you will. Don't you just love to see God do miracles for us?

My brother wants to take Spanish in college but I always tell him that it is a worthless language and that he'd only be wasting his time.

I mean Spanish is only useful if you want to travel to Europe or South America or if you want to catch illegals for the border patrol.

He say's he's dream ez to advertise used vehicles to Mexicans en the Las Vegas area. I think he's crazy!

I have added up all the years of how long people lived in genesis from Adam-Noah, it equaled 8818 years
then i subtracted the years of the age the fathers were when they begat them
which was 4176 and I came up with 4432 years
in just that short time period from creation to the flood

if the world is only 6000 years old and where are in 2007 a.d
then this would have had to happen around 2425 b.c
Sumer (the first known civilization) was thriving at this time
so even biblically the world can't be 6000 years old

Example: Sometimes I'll be coming around a corner, spacing out, and nearly collide with someone. I'll just say "Scuse!". 'Excuse me' is just waaaaaaaay too long and would be taking up time that I could use for other, more important things. Like waiting in line or something.

I was recently looking over some of the ten commandments, and the Articles of Faith (LDS) and such, and I realized--I've broken too many of these in my life. I'm scared now. If I repent and try to live more purely can I be saved?

Moses 6: 63 And behold, all things have their likeness, and all things are created and made to bear record of me, both things which are temporal, and things which are spiritual; things which are in the heavens above, and things which are on the earth, and things which are in the earth, and things which are under the earth, both above and beneath: all things bear record of me.

Man we did create from a quintessence (of clay); Then we placed as (a drop of) sperm (nutfah) in a place firmly fixed; Then we made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood (‘alaqah); Then of that clot we made a (fetus) lump (mudghah); then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. (Qur'an 23:12-14).

Dr. Keith Moore was professor and chairman of the Department of Anatomy at the University of Toronto. After reviewing the Qur’anic statements he said: "I am amazed at the accuracy of these statements which were already made in the 7th century AD."

Homer: Not a bear in sight. The Bear Patrol must be working like a charm.
Lisa: That's specious reasoning, Dad.
Homer: Thank you, dear.
Lisa: By your logic I could claim that this rock keeps tigers away.
Homer: Oh, how does it work?
Lisa: It doesn't work.
Homer: Uh-huh.
Lisa: It's just a stupid rock.
Homer: Uh-huh.
Lisa: But I don't see any tigers around, do you?
[Homer thinks of this, then pulls out some money]
Homer: Lisa, I want to buy your rock.
[Lisa refuses at first, then takes the exchange]

Which is more effective, prayer or tiger-repellent rocks?

Last night, we were coming down the Pacific Coast Highway, and my wife had an idea. Let's go to the beach. Well. Hmmm, it was only 11 P.M. We went to Ventura Beach. I had just spent the whole week freezing my tooshie off in a desolate Sierra town, and even though it was only 53 degrees in Ventura, it felt warm. We went across the boardwalk and down to the beach. My wife took off her shoes and danced in the waves. In a moment of "something", I went and got the boogie board I keep in the back of the truck for just such moments. I didn't have swimwear, so I just went down to the BVD's and jumped into the tide. My wife yelled "NO", but on I went. COLD> COLD dangit. The freezing a+s water immediately started draining me. I rowed out as far as I could, and turned around toward the beach, but all I could see was the boardwalk lights, not even the water below me. I rode the first wave in. I barely made it out of the water.I could hardly move for a long time. Now, was this bravado, or stupidity?
