Why do many people say the news is wrong?

i ask about musslems and they say the news is wrong.
I watch a video of a musslem group beheading a man.
I watch pictures of large crouds filling streets and in the hands of the crouds are pictures calling death upon of non musslems.
i see musslems blowing people up.
i see musslems, endless pictures of musslems killing and calling death upon people.
my sister and my mother go shopping in the musslem part of Minniapolis, MN and musslem people are watching a man with an ak47 on tv screaming jihad. and you say the news is wrong?

and many people say the news is wrong..
I have seen bad news before( hongkong and the bread rolls
with cardboard)
but still there are so many sings and people still preatend its all fake.

Much news is biased and badly reported but that stuff about Muslims is accurate. Have you seen the regular Friday be-headings in Saudi with the executioner proud of the fact he's 'doing God's work'?

First off M-U-S-L-I-M...at least the news does get the spelling of that word right, you could take a lesson.

I wouldn't say the news is necessarily wrong, but it is most definitely very BIASED and based on a definite lack of understanding when it comes to the Islamic faith.

Yes, there are Islamic extremists who are trying to hurt others...but what if we were living during the time of the crusades with this news on?? You would see the Christian crusaders in the same light.

The Islamic followers make up a VERY LARGE percent of the world wide population. You are seeing snippets of news clips focused on one small area of the world (the middle east) and throwing the rest of the world's Muslim's into the pot with the bad people...so how is it that ALL Muslim's are bad people?

I have to say, I am a Christian...but have a BA in Religious Studies and having spent some time taking classes that addressed this very issue with Islam, I can understand how the extremists feel the way they do. WHile I don't agree with thier methods, I certainly understand why they are driven to the point of retaliation.

Basically the media can filter anything they want before it is turned over to the public eye.
But you need to remember that not all muslims are like this, there are peaceful ones too. What the media is showing you is not the entire story but bits and pieces put together based on perspective. There is a lot of this kind of thing happening in our world but it is not just focused on particular religious groups. The news isn't wrong but they are only showing you what they want you to see.

the musslems you are seeing doing that are radical factions that do not represent the musslem community. they are the terrorist. i know, im in the army, we get the real news and see the real thing.

There are extremists in every religion. That is what your samples depict. Muslim extremists, not the majority of Muslim practitioners.

I believe what Muslims are referring to as 'wrong' is that the entire group is being portrayed as extremists by our media.

just go to the hood and u will see americans killing americans ... not all muslims are like that .. and the news shows u what big poppa wants u to see so u wont be going nuts in the streets demanding the war to end ..

Depends which channel you're watching.

If you're watching FOX NEWS its automatically wrong.

Watch the BBC, CNN or CBC. Those are much better.
