Hi Kelsey,
Don't worry....God has you covered! Everybody has sinned! (Romans 3:23) BUT...if you confess your sins, and turn away from them, God will forgive you. (1John 1:9)
God wants you saved more than you want to be saved! (2 Peter 3:9) He is just WAITING for you to ask Him. It is THAT simple...... so I am going to pray for you, that you will read these texts and believe them. They are promises straight from God to you!

Well, first the bad news. I think you know this though.
LDS doctrine states that if you don't do "all you can do" and keep the commandments, you cannot be saved.
For we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do (2 Nephi 25:23)
For I the Lord cannot look upon sin with the least degree of allowance; Nevertheless, he that repents and does the commandments of the Lord shall be forgiven; (Doctrine and Covenants 1:31, 32)
As you have freely said - you have not done "All you can do" everyday of your life and you have not kept the commandments. I haven't either. By LDS doctrines, you and I are doomed.
Ready for some good news? Please keep an open mind. Look into this a little bit.
You will see - That is not what the Bible says at all!!!
Ephesians 2:8-10 for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, (9) not of works, that no one would boast. (10) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.
We are saved TO DO good works. We are not saved BY good works. Huge difference.
The law cannot save you. It's purpose is to let us know we have sinned.
Galatians 3:10-11 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. (11) But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
So, the Bible totally disagrees with the Book of Mormon on this very important topic.
Which one is correct?
I know - you've prayed about the Book of Mormon being true if you are a good LDS. Have you done so with the Bible as well?
Might I suggest that there are things we don't need to pray about? God requires faith, but not a blind faith. God has given us a test to tell if it is true or not:
God gave this challenge of fulfilled prophecy. Look into the prophecies of the Bible. All of them need to come true if it is from God. I encourage you to compare them to the prophecies of Joseph Smith and see which one has 100 percent accuracy.
Deuteronomy 18:21-22 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? (22) When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

I am not familiar with the articles of faith, but I do know the bible and I can tell you this ...
God is forever faithful. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Jesus died for all your sins, even the ones you haven't even thought of yet. To repent is one thing, but you must rely on Jesus to save you. You cannot do this on your own.
You can try to live a more pure life and I honor you for even desiring this. But understand that your sin nature, which is a part of you and something you can't erase, is at odds with God's desires. You will be tempted. You may fall into temptation again. But remember, God will never leave you nor forsake you. I can't impress upon you the importance of this. Ask His forgiveness as often as you need to and He will cleanse you of all unrighteousness.
Now go pray to Jesus and ask Him to save you right now.

The Biblical method of salvation is believing in Jesus. John 3:16 tells us, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Salvation is gained by faith (Ephesians 2:8), by receiving Jesus as Savior (John 1:12), by fully trusting Jesus alone (John 14:6; Acts 4:12) – not by reciting a prayer.
The Biblical message of salvation is simple and clear, and amazing at the same time. We have all committed sin against God (Romans 3:23). There is no one who has lived an entire life without sinning (Ecclesiastes 7:20). Because of our sin, we have earned judgment from God (Romans 6:23), and that judgment is physical death followed by spiritual death. Because of our sin and its deserved punishment, there is nothing we can do on our own to make ourselves right with God. As a result of His love for us, God became a human being in the Person of Jesus Christ. Jesus lived a perfect life and always taught the truth. However, humanity rejected Jesus and put Him to death by crucifying Him. Through that horrible act, though, Jesus died in our place. Jesus took the burden and judgment of sin on Himself, and died for us (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus was then resurrected (1 Corinthians chapter 15), proving that His payment for sin was sufficient and that He had overcome sin and death. As a result of Jesus’ sacrifice, God offers us salvation as a gift. God calls us all to change our minds about Jesus (Acts 17:30), and to receive Him as the full payment of our sins (1 John 2:2).

All you have to do is repent of your sins truthfully and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Then follow His direction as given in the Word of God which is the Holy Bible.

None of us is perfect, we've ALL broken the commandments, and not listened to God and the prophets.
All we can do is to STRIVE for perfection.
Repent when we sin, surely, but don't beat ourselves up all the time.

You can be saved because Jesus died to save you. We are expected to love God and live a life in gratitude toward Him, however, we still live in our flesh, which wars against our spirits. Don't be afraid, just ask God to forgive you because of what His son did for you. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and life and help you live pleasing to Him. God Bless you and walk in peace knowing that God loves you. With Jesus on your side you never have to fear again.

You absolutely can be saved. THink of the most evil person you know of. If, at the moment before his death, he repented legitly, and truthfully believed in God, he would be saved. This is not the design, we are meant to live our life loving God, but if you truly believe, and ask for forgiveness, God will take you in with open arms.

Don't be afraid. Pray...pray....pray. Tell God the things you know you have done wrong and ask Him to guide your life. Give Him permission to come into your heart. Know this, as soon as you tell God what sins you have done you are FORGIVEN! Our sins are as far from us as the east is from the west. Search the Bible to find that verse. Start in the concordance with east. Before you do, ask God to help you understand.
