Last night, we were coming down the Pacific Coast Highway, and my wife had an idea. Let's go to the beach. Well. Hmmm, it was only 11 P.M. We went to Ventura Beach. I had just spent the whole week freezing my tooshie off in a desolate Sierra town, and even though it was only 53 degrees in Ventura, it felt warm. We went across the boardwalk and down to the beach. My wife took off her shoes and danced in the waves. In a moment of "something", I went and got the boogie board I keep in the back of the truck for just such moments. I didn't have swimwear, so I just went down to the BVD's and jumped into the tide. My wife yelled "NO", but on I went. COLD> COLD dangit. The freezing a+s water immediately started draining me. I rowed out as far as I could, and turned around toward the beach, but all I could see was the boardwalk lights, not even the water below me. I rode the first wave in. I barely made it out of the water.I could hardly move for a long time. Now, was this bravado, or stupidity?

lmao It will make you or break you. Welcome to the polar bear club. haha Navajos roll their babies in the snow (naked) to make them tough. My husband did it once and he never even had the sniffles the rest of the winter. It did something really good for him physically.

Bravely stupid like me breaking horses at my age. This proves it. You are my Cyber Son! I knew it. Have you ever had a flogging from a Mama Eagle? Don't do it again, and nobody gets hurt, see? Now I insist you stop having unclean thoughts about me.
It just isn't right, now that I know you are mine.
Edit: Don't listen to the Pope, water magnifies.

was your wife impressed? that's what will determine the difference between bravado and stupidity

I found this passage in my bible:
erecticus 3:10
when alone he may go forth to the cold
and when a woman is near, she must not witness the retraction of the organ for she will be tempted to search a greater man.

If 53 degrees out, the water must be around 30-40 degrees. Man, you're stupid.

and experiences are often a little on the edge
we have to take chances sometimes

just be careful though

The sea was calling to you and you answered. There was nothing of either in it for you. You were simply answering a call that was stronger than you. I envy you........

The sea takes care of it's own..Maybe a mermaid wanted to touch you as you went by........
