Im an atheist, and I would have to disagree with you... Prayer can affect change WITHIN AN INDIVIDUAL. Sure, it hasnt helped humanity as a whole, but it DOES have some purpose - just not the purpose most people that pray think it does...
And, I said the same thing in your previous post as well.

While prayer *might* help calm people down, there are other ways to accomplish that that do not encourage people to rely on fairy tales, and thus prayer should not be encouraged even for that reason.
There's nothing you can get from prayer that you can't get from listening to Mozart.
Worse, prayer supporters tend to think that if prayer can work for one thing, then it can work for everything. That's how you get the idiots who prefer to pray rather than give their children immunizations (scary) or vaccinations (even scarier).

In 1989 I was annointed with the charisma of healing. I do not know if its a specialized type of healing or if I have not the faith in other kinds of needs, or have yet to discover the method/faith in doing so. However, I have a 99% success rate in healing headaches for myself since 1989, only failed once. about a 75% success rate on unbelievers, and a 50% success rate on other believers besides myself. This is for headaches only. But I have seen other types of healings take place, but that is a minority. and much less succesful.

No. 2 palms working can do extra desirable than one thousand clasped in prayer. If we are hoping and pray for some thing to ensue, we can't act in a great way, which will make it ensue. something you get is your guy or woman doing. it relatively is extra effective to take command of the region as a exchange of praying to a god for it to ensue. valuable thinking and valuable action upload as much as consequences, no longer prayer. Prayer is a in simple terms the thank you to think of you're assisting, devoid of unquestionably doing something.

It's not a waste of time, it has been scientifically proven that prayer works.
That does not prove the existence of God, but it does prove that your state of mind affects the outcome of situations to a certain degree.
It's basically the same as power of positive thinking.

It amazes me to how so few understand our Heavenly Father.
When we pray, often times it is prayers that are what we want for our lives, but not what God wants for our lives.
Suppose a man prays to be rich and God knows if he answers that prayer by making him rich, he would lose his salvation, do you think that God should help the man be rich?
And often times we pray about something and become impatient wanting to see the prayer answered quickly. Yet, God who is perfect answers the prayer in his perfect time, not ours.
Yet, we are human beings and our prayers often times are imperfect and sometimes offensive to God.
God is all righteous, and worthy of all praise. I suggest instead of want, want, want, you try giving him a thank you. Praise his Holy name. For he inhabits the prayers of his saints.

not so, the power of the mind is boundless and prayer is really a way to direct that power.people who pray to get healthy often do, because they have directed their minds to it.

It gives people the impression that they're doing something. Like recycling, turning off TVs and so on.
