or do you think that we should not educate our children about all faiths so that they understand what other people are doing around them rather them thinking they are strange or odd and making fun of them?

I am not saying have religion in school, i am saying educate children in school about the basics of all the faiths from an educational book reading perspective not by participating or undertaking any rituals or such. I DO agree with not having that in Public schools but private schools only.

What do some of you think? Better to educate and remove the ignorance or keep it as we are and let the hate continue or do you not think it would make a difference either way?

I think parents should raise their kids the way they want but they should also be aware what the other faiths are so they are not ignorant to them when they see someone of that faith the first time.

I have to do some type of halloween activity.
Im doing it for BETA club.
Its a local festival-like place.
Im giving a limited amount of space,
just enough to have some type of acitvity in it.
Its to promote the club im in.

I need something fun, not clostly, good for all ages, and simple to do, able to do w/ a limited amount of space (thats pretty small.)
example- pin the tail on the donkey
Any ideas????

To all those who answered my previous question, I'd like to say thanks-It provided me with a very interesting perspective..I'd like to adress a couple of things that people claimed about Christians, that I personally don't believe..and that any true Christian shouldn't believe
First , I don't hate gay people. I dissaprove of the act of homosexuality, in my opinion, it is a sin just like lying cheating stealing, but I love all people..including gays-I have homosexual friends. I don't approve of their actions, but I love them as people
Second, only God has the power to judge, if a "Christian" has ever "condemned you to hell", I am sorry
Third, to those of you who who have had "Christians" who "hate" or "want to harm" you, I am sorry, Christians are called to love everyone
Finally, I do want to have the free expression of my religion in school, but I don't believe in forcing something on anyone. In my beliefs, the God I serve gave everyone the freedom of choice

This is not meant as a pun, my sister and kids are all Jehova's witnesses and I have ZERO clue what it is that they mean and what it is they WITNESSED that makes them different than any other Protestant Christianity?

Would some one care to explain it to this pagan please. I do wish to understand what my sister is witnessing. Her answers make no sense to me and the kids are too young to ask.

so i hoped that some people here could tell me. Is it the same as a Born again Christian, I know they are not Catholic or Protestant so is it like Mormans, Quakers? Please someone tell me something about this branch of faith within Christianity.

Alright, I'm personally an aethiest, but i am fascinated with religion.

As a christian; do you actually believe the world is 7000 years old, DESPITE historical evidence and carbon dating which brings us back millions and millions of years ago

As a christian; many christians wear crosses around their necks... if jesus came back, do you think he would ever want to see another cross? (rhetorical question... but answer it still)

Why is it neccessary for jesus to die? what purpose does it serve. Its a representation of sacrifice blah blah... but why does anyhting need to be sacrificed, if god makes the rules, why doens't he make them so that sinning is allowed

James 1:13 says, "Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone."

Jesus returned from and was led by the spirit into the desert for forty days to be temped by the devil. Luke Chapter 4 verses 1-2

Uh oh another mindless Christian contradiction, Jesus wasn't God, God cannot be tempted ,but it clearly states that Jesus was tempted by the devil *GASP* why would the devil ever bother trying to tempt God?

Considering how many dinosaur fossils there are and how little time they spent on the earth (like 2000 years), it's safe to assume that there was a gigantic dinosaur every square meter.

How could Adam and Eve POSSIBLY survive?

And the dinosaurs weren't the only problem, there were also millions of other large predators willing to eat them according to all the fossils. Like the sabertooth tiger and the terror bird.

f Jesus did not say I AM GOD then why do you believe he is God?

Why would you believe that Jesus is God when he never said he was?

Wouldn't this be making false claims upon Jesus?

Is Jesus all knowing?

If Jesus is not all knowing then how can he be God?

Was Jesus the messiah?

Was Jesus a servant of God?

If Jesus was the messiah and servant of God, then how is Islam the anti-Christ when it preaches the same thing?

Did the believers of Jesus believe he was God?

If they did not then why do you?

Did the Pharisees always understand Jesus?

Did the Pharisees sometimes miss-understand Jesus?

If the Pharisees miss-understood Jesus, how can you be sure they were correct when they claim he claimed he was God?

Would you take the word of a lying hypocrite Pharisee as good evidence?

For what reasons were former prophets killed?

Can you be sure they were not killed for the exact same reason as Jesus?

How do I inherit eternal life according to Jesus?

By believing in the commandments?

Or by believing in his death and resurrection?

Is Jesus God because he is sinless?

Can you show me where Jesus says he is sinless?

If Jesus is God because he is sinless is Noah and Job God too?

If Jesus is God because he was worshiped was the prophet Daniel also God?

If Jesus died for my sins and I believe he did so, can I still sin freely?

If so, what happens to me?

Do I get punished for them?

Do I get away with them?

If I get punished, is the punishment in this world or in the hereafter?

If I do not get punished don't you think this is a bit strange and bad?

If I do get punished for my sins and also still faithfully believe in Jesus' death, then what is the point of his death?

If God loved the world so much, why did he not send himself, why his son?

Would you send your son to do your job or yourself?

Does your God love me?

If he does why would he send me to hell for eternal punishment?

Isn't that unfair from someone who loves me?

So there we go, I hope our Christian friends will help out and answer some of those questions.

At the death of Christ the Jewish nation closed its probation as the people of God. In John 8:44 Jesus said to them "ye are of your father the devil and the works of your father ye will do".
The prophecies of Daniel 9:26-27 have come and gone. Where the Messiah would come and die for the world. They said 70 weeks or 490 years are determined upon the people of God(then) which means they were given 490 years to prepare themselves for the coming of Christ. that prophecy is over and the Jews still reject Jesus. If you reject Jesus the true Messiah can you really be God's people?

If you have the Spirit of God you are a son of God and a child. Everyone that confesseth Jesus as Christ and has come into the world in the flesh of man is of God. As far as I see the Jewish nation has not done that. Why do we support them?they are not God's children manifest the spirit.
