James 1:13 says, "Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone."

Jesus returned from and was led by the spirit into the desert for forty days to be temped by the devil. Luke Chapter 4 verses 1-2

Uh oh another mindless Christian contradiction, Jesus wasn't God, God cannot be tempted ,but it clearly states that Jesus was tempted by the devil *GASP* why would the devil ever bother trying to tempt God?

Jesus was wholly God and wholly human...therefore it was His humanity that was tempted.

When God came to earth as a human, Jesus he was living as a human although still without sin. Satan tried to temp him but FAILED!. Key word TRIED. God the Father cannot be tempted in His Glory in Heaven. The devil will try anything. If you study the book of Daniel in the end times Satan will come face to face with God..and make demands..stupid yes but he will try and lose the battle once and for all.

So sorry not another mindless Christian contradiction. You need to get the facts straight. Read the whole book. Verses taken out of context are just that. Out of context.

Whe Jesus said He was the Son of God He was claiming to be God other wise they wouldn't have wanted to stone Him (John 5:18; 8:57-59; 10:30-33)

Also read Hebrew 1:8; 1 Timothy 3:16; John 1:1; Matthew 1:23.

And no one can sit before a king without his permission - read the Prince and the Pauper ;)

Jesus is God - He was just "incognito" to the World.

Jesus, like the prince in "the Prince & the Pauper", set aside His Godhood so that He could live out the human experience - so that He could understand His people from their own perspective.
By setting aside His Godhead Authority, He subjected Himself to the Godhead (which had never been done before) and He also subjected Himself to mankind and temptations from satan himself.

The mystery is the Trinity (The Great I AM or Father, His Son, The Holy (note it says Holy) Spirit).

Please take a look (if you REALLY want to know) at John 10:35-38 "If He called them gods, to whom the Word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broker), do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world: "You are blaspheming!" because I said, 'I am the Son of God?' 'If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me, but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe that the Father is in Me , and I in Him."

Jesus was tempted and so are we. Yet he did not sin. Do you know God? Do you know anything about Jesus? What is wisdom? Proverbs 8.
