That it has to be created by a higher intelligence, why? How do you determine that life on our tiny planet is complex? You have nothing to compare it to, we only know of one way to make life in this universe. And please don't compare humans to other creatures on this planet we are all connected and we all have limitations. So why do believers think that life is complex? And don't use the watchmaker arguement because it's doesn't work. Who made the watchmaker?

Oh yeah, the human eye is so perfect. Hogwash! We have a very limited view of visible light, there is much more in the universe our eyes can't see.

alright this might sound as a weird question but it has been driving me crazy. i dont have a real big understanding on religion in genreal but this question popped into my head. my understanding is that christianity does not beleive in pre-destination, also it is my understanding that in order to get into heavern you must accept Jesus as your savior. my question is is if you have to accept hime as your saviour to go to heeaven what happerned to all the people who died before the crucifixtion of Christ if he wasnt even born yet. and after he was crucified what about the people who lived in north and south america who had absolutely no way of knowing about him. basically isnt taht a form of pre-destination, being that youre going to hell as soon as you are born because you have no way of knowing about the savior.
its highly possible that i have a misunderstood of one of the ideas about christianity, or there is an answer in the bible but since i nvr red it i have no idea.
thx

Or is salvation based on the acceptance of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross and his bloodshed? Also when did the doctrine of the trinity come into play in Christianity?

I am wondering this because I know of some people that are registered because of females that were under age and screamed rape. In one case in particular there was a female that "got" with five guys and later said it was rape when she wiliingly went into it(yes, i was there but not as a participant). Now these young men are all registered. So is it fair for them to be judged?

I invited 100 of my closest friends and so far, I only know of 8 that are comming. It is BYOB. Do you think that is scaring them away? I promised them it'll be fun and ask their opinion on food and party games. What would lure them in more?

I was walking out of Walgreens today and as I walked out, a man stopped me and wanted to talk to me. He looked to be about 40 or so, and I am 20. I'm pretty sure he was a homeless man, because there are many in my town. He talked to me for about a minute and then asked me for my phone number so he could see me again because he "needed someone to talk to". What is the Christian thing to do in this situation? I told him no, and then he asked me for money and I honestly didn't have any, so I couldn't. I felt so bad afterwards... but I couldn't just give this strange homeless man my number. What would you do in this situation?

Subject: clocks
A man died and went to heaven. As he stood in front of St. Peter at the Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of clocks behind him. He asked, "What are all those clocks?"
St. Peter answered, "Those are Lie-Clocks. Everyone on Earth has a Lie-Clock. Every time you lie the hands on your clock will move."
"Oh ," said the man, "whose clock is that?"
"That's Mother Teresa's. The hands have never moved, indicating that she never told a lie."
"Incredible," said the man. "And whose clock is that one?"
St. Peter responded, "That's Abraham Lincoln's clock. The hands have moved twice, telling us that Abe told only two lies in his entire life."
"Where's President Bush's clock?" asked the man.
"Bush's clock is in Jesus' office. He's using it as a ceiling fan.

workers and a nurse are acquitted by an all-white jury again as usual, for murdering a 14-year old Black boy at boot camp dousing him with ammonia caplets, suffocating him so he couldn't breathe, and ultimately murdering him, but an all-white jury made sure that all the drill sergeants and nurse were acquitted.

Maybe Michael Vick needs those defense attorneys to get lucky?

What do you think God feels about this? Kill a dog, go to jail and lose your job; kill a human and you're free get-out-of-jail or no-punishment-here card-ticket is what awaits you after the bogus trial.

Oh God, how much longer must we live like this? Do you think God is happy with how humans slaughter one another and get away with it, but a dog----------oh, Peta and you are condemned!

Things that exist can be measured.

Things that can be measured are defined (otherwise you don't know WHAT to measure).

God is undefined.
Being undefined God is immeasurable.
Being immeasurable, God does not exist!

Visiting little impressionable kids in elementary schools and trying to convert them through circus tricks, basketball, and other mediums.

Also the people who innocently strike up conversations with you and then throw god in your face.

Seriously! No other religion does that.

In this day and age can exercise a level of power/control over their government beyond the limitations of a Constitutional monarchy?

Just an odd question that popped into my head. The Parameters for this is that the Royal family/Figure in question should be descended from a line that at least has wielded power since the mid 19th century.

Looks like they are pretty much all wrapped up in masculine energy of ego, action and logic at the expense of their emotional, feeling selves. And since spirituality is more of feminine energy, emotionally and intangibly based it only stands to reason they find it difficult to believe.Don't many of their Q&A's seem... well... cold hearted, and their "humor" purely sarcastic and mean spirited? This is why I say they are not playing with a full deck, and I don't offer this in a derogatory way either, just that they don't seem to be very well in touch with their inner selves.Ok anti-believers show me you best egocentric "wit".
