You have to believe in jesus to get into heavan remember the thief on the cross next to christ he told him he believed him and jesus said today he would be with him and the father in paradise. I don't think they had time to discuss the trinity and other doctrins while they were dying. So the answer is no i don't believe so. John 3:16 says God gave his only son whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. It mentions nothing about the Trinity.

The belief in the doctrine of the trinity is NOT a necessity or requirement for salvation. The Council of Nicea is where that was taken from and attempted to be enforced. The Bible states to Israel that the Lord our God is ONE (Duet 6:4). Ask any of the Jewish faith, and they will agree there is but one God. God didn't decide to multiply Himself simply for the New Testement. God Doesn't Change( Ps. 119:89 ).
Salvation is more than mere acceptance of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. It is the obedient and faith-filled response to His Spirit upon hearing the Gospel message. You must be born again, "of the water and of the Spirit" ( John 3:1-21 and Acts 2:38).

Not necessary for salvation, as you well know.
And is it truly a "doctrine"? I don't think so. What it is, is an attempt to understand the nature of God in relation to what is revealed about Him in Scripture. How are the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit one? How are they unique from one another? Ideas and theories have abounded down through time over these issues.
Is the Holy Spirit a "person" or a force? A number of "cults" insist the Holy Spirit is not a person, and they also diminish Jesus in some way.
But the Holy Spirit is described as one who talks. Can a force speak?
So those who "deny" the trinity are those who are the most confused over the whole issue.
There is nothing to deny. There is much to learn.

Since God is sovereign in salvation, He will lead a person to an accurate faith in Jesus Christ which includes the orthodox teaching of the Trinity.
And the Trinity was always expressed in the Christian Church and was later defined because of heresy.

at the start of the be conscious trinity does not even exist interior the Bible. The trinity is a faux doctrine and that i will coach it incorrect by potential of asking and answering one easy question: if jesus is god, then does god have a god? as a results of fact Jesus says ''my god'' in many circumstances which incorporate revelation 3:12 so why might god have a god? hmmm... Jesus is Jehovah gods son, they're 2 separate beings, actually father and son and finally holy spirit. they're 3 person issues not a kit.

Belief in Jesus would be meaningless if he's not divine.
He said "I am in the Father, & the Father is in me."
"I go to the Father, & I will ask him to send another helper."
It took 3 centuries for the Church to formulate the Trinity.
There were 3 Councils which hammered this matter out.
Final agreement was reached in 451 as binding on all.
There are still some cults which follow the Arien heresy;
that Jesus was less than divine (e.g. JWs & Mormons).

There is a sect of Christians called Unitarians who do not believe in the Trinity. I apologize to all Unitarians if I have completely misunderstood your philosophies and have trashed your religious beliefs. I just don't have the research. I myself believe in the Trinity. It's kinda like the reincarnations of Vishnu, a Hindu god (though not exactly. I'm just using a comparison, I'm not meaning anything sacrilegious.)

If you believe that Jesus is the son of God,and you believe Jesus when he said to his disciples "I'm going away to be with my Father (God) but I will send you a helper, the Spirit of truth and he will show you all things to come" He's talking about the (Holy Spirit)...Jesus, is the living word and the Bible is the written word..If one believe in and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior how can one not believe in the trinity...The Father,The Son and The Holy Spirit....It's all connected..

God is the Trinity. Belief in God is belief in the Trinity.
Jesus did not need to die on the cross to save us. Humans killed Him. God did not will Jesus to die on the cross. Jesus' coming and living among us saved us by His life, not by His death. His death showed us that even if we nail God to a cross, nothing would separate us from the love of God. Our salvation is in knowing this. It is in knowing that the love of God for us is far greater than we can think or imagine.
