What if you were physically held down and forced to get it,but in your heart you were not of it? Since God sees the heart and knows who is who,doesn't this defeat the supposed purpose of said mark?

i'm sorry this question is not for athiests this is for people who believe in god i'm just wondering:

i think we have a forgiving god but i know people who are like "it doesn't matter you can always repent anyway" and i think that's like giving people a ticket to sin.

i cannot believe so many stars even exist. i mean personally i think all telescopes are bunch of toys taking fake pictures. there are only 5000 stars in universe and they're fixed to solid firmament as mentioned in Genesis.

I see some answers on here like, "the christians keep saying we will go to hell and they are the one bashing us." "it is definetly the christian's fault because they force us and think they're religion is the only one"

you are all pretty ignorant. i am not like that. i think everybody should have their own beliefs. i am christian you do not have to believe in what i believe. i don't go around preaching my beliefs to people either. i understand how many christians can generalize abotu athiests too and say athiests go to hell. which is also very ignorant. but why do you bash on me?

i have athiest friends, we never talk about religion, so we never argue.

why are YOU so concerned with MY religion anyway?

I've been working at this place almost 2 months, I love it. It's only 2 sales people and the manager who is hardly ever here. I hate going out to eat and spending money on food every day so I brought snacks and stuff to make quick meals during lunch. I didn't want to be rude so I told the other sales guy to feel free to grab a little something. I thought it was common courtesy to offer. Honestly I don't mind him taking some of my food, what I do mind is coming to work and all my food being gone. Ever since I made the offer he eats all my stuff, leaves empty bags and cartons of juice. I am really upset because although I offered him, I never mentioned anything about finishing my food. I think its disrespectful that he finishes it and then doesnt replace it. What should I do? What should I tell him?

anger is a mental disposisiotan that we get when we are offended in out course for creation. imajination is a state of mind that can either drive us insane or keep us going, we dream things that will never come true because we dont know "where" we are and not evan "when" we are and evan if the universe was that simple we whould be dead by now. Oness seems our only escape from these things but alought of people are against it, but think of a world were you just accepted everyone as a sort of computer and everything had peace and nothing was new to you? were everyone said sorry and thankyou, its hard to live in this fast paced world and theres always obstacles. I belive that heavan has to exist because nothing ever dissapears, EVER. think about it when you burn a piese of paper it turns to ashes and into smaller particles, when you delete somthing form a computer it never dissapears. And if humanity had enough time they could eventualy evolve in pure unlimeted energy, and so the question

My friend was over like last week and I have this mini statue of mary that plays ave maria and its on my dresser...she saw it and was like why do u have a statue of mary in your room! Then she was like why do Catholics worship idols and bow down to statues! And I was like we don't worship them like that! It really annoyed me! This girl is baptist and she thinks her religion is superior to everyone elses! And I told her we don't worship them like she thinks we do and she was like yeah and you pray to them to and then she was like you say that one prayer and I was like Hail Mary? and she was like yeah! I think this it total crap and I hate how Christians like Protestants, Baptists, etc always say that about Catholics!

wherever i am i always see someone crossing their legs (at the knee) i've seen so many people do it mainly women. my gilfriend always crosses her legs when she sits no matter what she is wearing. i was just curious why people do it, and do you notice when you do or out of habbit? is it really that comfortable?

Does anyone else think the abuse reporting is getting out of hand around here?

Can't we all appreciate our disagreements and respect our rights to free speech?

Do we have to report abuse every time our feelings are hurt?

Are there any older mature people engaged in this type of censorship - or are most of you like me thinking - whether Christian or Atheist - most of the abuse reporting around here is done by immature, irresponsible teen-agers?

So I ask you - is R&S just a bizarre on-line world where all the power is in the hands of some crazy kids - like "Lord of the Flies"?!?

PS - I am a Christian, been insulted here many times in some of the most vile and disgusting ways imaginable - age 37 - and have never reported any one no matter how hateful or offensive I consider their post to be.....and never will.

how is it possible to love the Lord our God with all of our heart, mind and soul... and be able to be in love with someone? is it natural to think about the other person a lot? should we feel that is wrong?

it says we should love God with AAAALLLLLLLL of our hearts, minds and souls. ALL. not put God first in your heart mind and soul.....

so how is it possible to be in love, to marry someone and not violate this first commandment?

I'm just wondering because I'm Catholic and some people are like I hate Catholic people and are like Eww I would never be Catholic! It seems like a lot of the Atheists on here were once Catholic and then turned Atheist! Why is this? I think Catholicism is a great religion and I don't see why many people hate it so much!
