One evening, a family brings their frail, elderly mother to a nursing home and leaves her, hoping she will be well cared for. The next morning, the nurses bathe her, feed her a tasty breakfast, and set her in a chair at a window overlooking a lovely flower garden.

She seems O.K. but after a while she slowly starts to lean over sideways in her chair. Two attentive nurses immediately rush up to catch her and straighten her up.

Again, she seems O.K. but after a while she starts to tilt to the other side. The nurses rush back and once more bring her back upright. This goes on all morning.

Later, the family arrives to see how the old woman is adjusting to her new home. "So Ma, how is it here? Are they treating you all right?" they ask.

"It's pretty nice," she replies. "Except they won't let you fart."

I stop going to mass when i found out i was pregnent with my daughter who is now 3yrs 8mths as i thought we would be looked down on, so 4yrs later i feel lost and i want to return i live in a new area my daughter isnt baptised but i want her to be, will i be welcome back?

you say you spread the good news, but honestly, how is people ( who don't believe the way you do) are going to hell a good news to you?

hell is eternal suffering accoding to your belief, so why would you even want to think that so many people are going there except you?

What the heck is going on?

It's bad enough unbelievers attack Christians, but Christians attacking Christians because of different RELIGIONS.

It's about Jesus Christ, not religion.

why are atheists so flustered with theists when they are branded by the latter as going to hell or something similar? I mean, since they don't believe in hell in the first place, why be so affected when faced with such lines of criticism? It's not like they're actually being physically disadvantaged or what. I thought atheists would be the more cool-headed and laid-back side of the great debates since theists tend to get zealous with their religion and the atheists don't believe they're affected anyway. But more often than not it's the atheists who start the squabble and do the baiting questions.

To make a long story short, there is this guy in my apt. complex that I have seen around for over 3 years. He's always trying to get my attintion and talk to me. I would just smile and go about my way. One day while I had my nephew with me (who's 2) he called me over to help him with something. I went to his patio but refused to go into his house (even though he kept trying to get me to go in) he asked me to help him untangle a chain that was wrapped around a ring. As I was looking at the ring he was sitting on the edge of his patio and asked could I keep a secret. I said yes. He then pulled out a "crack" pipe and in front of me and my nephew lit it up! As I grabbed my nephew to run away, he started to tell me what he wanted to do to me and used his "mouth" as a visual aid! I went straight to the landlord and reported it. She assured me that it would be taken care of. This was a month ago and the man is still here! She lied to me! She told me that "He doesn't have anywhere to go"

There is a criminal fraud and extortion racket... Christianity... that has been in business for about 1,700 years. As a consequence of their ongoing criminal activities, they are doing immense harm to the citizens of the USA, and to humanity in general.

I propose a class-action civil law suit, to be filed in Federal Court, which would seek to strip Christianity of its tax exempt status, and further, would seek to order the Justice Department to seek criminal penalties for fraud, extortion, conspiracy, and crimes against humanity under the existing 'Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act' (RICO) statutes.

I hate how people criticize the Catholic church! They need to realize that the Catholic church is the only real religion because in reality all the Protestants etc "protested" because being Catholic was not convenient to them! I believe that whenever something is not convenient you can't just go a make up some nonsense like people did back in the days! I hate all the ignorant people and It really frustrates me when people say Catholics are not saved...what the heck is up with that! Anyone else agree?

Do you believe a woman can be a pastor for a church?
I know many people use the adage "that was then, this is now" but that means the Bible is no value because of its age. Yet, we claim that the Bible is 100% authoritative and God inspired.
You can't have it both ways.
Can a woman lead spiritually over a congregation when she is not the spiritual leader in her own home? I am not talking Sunday school teacher, I am referring to pastor/reverend. Pastors have spiritual authority, yet, God placed the man in that position at the basic foundation of family. Does that mean the family structure is nonfunctional when it enters into the doors of the church?

Something to ponder. Curious on the different answers I will get, since it is a basic yes or no question.
