Spewing lies about Christianity? Straw man argument? Calm down people, I am genuinely not infering anything nor am I trying to be sneaky. It's a hypothetical question. OPEN YOUR MINDS.

it's been like that for a while - ages ago, during the matriarchate. and it is like that in most homes, anyway. but not officially, of course ;)

I think the people who had a go at Golden Girl must have guilty consciences! she mentioned no specific religion or belief system and yet they suddenly leaped to a panicky defence of their own. I'll let those actions speak for themselves! :)

To answer the question- do you know, I'd think about it- I really would. A matriarchal religion might not be so bad!

No rational man would join a religion that declares him inferior. But there are many rational men who enjoy catering to women, and often obey their wives.

Some. A few people can be found to support *any* belief or stance.

I cite in support of this that a neo-nazi group has just been broken up. It was in Israel, and the members were Jewish.

You mean like Islam declares women inferior?

Because I know christianity makes no such claim about women. Christianity commands husbands to love their wives, "as Christ loved the church". Well, Christ loved the church so much, he died for the church. Islam doesn't teach husbands to love their wives that much. In fact, Islam teaches husbands that they can beat their wives if their wives are insubordinate. Is that love?

God made the man responsible for the family - the man must be the spiritual leader in the home. Which means, he is accountable to God when he fails, that is, when he leads his family astray. If the man is right with God, and faithful and obedient to God, then yes, as spiritual leader in the home, the woman must "obey" her husband, because he is right with God. This is God's way. But, if the husband is not right with God, then christianity teaches that the woman does NOT HAVE TO FOLLOW HER HUSBAND DOWN THE WRONG PATH! She does not have to obey him in all things, because he is not right with God.

Before you spew lies about christianity, maybe you should read up on all of its teachings first.

It's not a question of joining a religion. It's a question of believing the TRUTH, or believing a lie. If the truth said that I was inferior, yet it was the truth, I'd believe it.

Truth is not subjective in that you can just make it up as you go along.

And women are not inferior to men in the Bible, so your straw man just tumbled down. The Bible has an order, and if it says men are to lead the household, then that's not making a woman "inferior", unless you think a cop on the street telling you what to do makes you "inferior".

lol it would very much depend. Most men are relatively simple creatures. Keep their basic needs satisfied - food, rest, disposable income, friends, and ridiculous amounts of sex, and most men would sign their names to any damn thing at all ;o)

A dominatrix would tell you a lot of men pay big bucks to cater to and obey them.

Seriously doubt it. I wouldn't join any religion though, so far be it from me to answer for people who believe in stuff.

I'm not sure what you're referring to, dear one, but Christianity does neither.

We accept Jesus as our Savior and enter into a relationship with Him BECAUSE we know we're "inferior" and recognize our need of a Savior.

God bless!
