Answer my question. "Jesus changed all that," is not an answer, but that obviously infers no. My second question is, does it not bother you that the almighty creator of the universe would ever or would have ever advocated killing your children because they got out of line?

@dirtdoc6...: Another religious fanatic that claims evolution isn't true? What is the place coming to? Look, go ahead and capitalize THEORY, like that somehow invalidates it. Just like the THEORY of GRAVITY, right?

One single shred? Are you mad? No real scientist denies that evolution occurred. The only dispute is how the process went.

Not me sir we have modern day things such as programs to help us with situations like this. There is no way I would want to do such things or even have them done unto me. I don't know if I could live in a time or bring back such an era where stoning to death would always be the answer to everything even the smallest ones.

1) I'm a real and practicing scientist and I dispute macroevolution. Genuine science can only be truly practiced if anything and everything can be questioned, otherwise we end up repeating the Galileo syndrome but in a secular version as we have today. The Atheists have made Science their Religion instead of a tool for a legitimate inquiry of everything.

2) God is the Author of life and what life He takes He can also restore. It is the Atheist who fears the finality of death.

3) Capital punishment is just.

Always amazes me that people want to claim God isnt real, that he hasnt been proven, and all this type of stuff. You apparently havent truly kept up with science. The THEORY of evolution has in fact NEVER had ONE SINGLE shred proven. IN FACT, its theory changes from year to year. The Bible has remained the same. if you dont like what it says, that is your choice. But to try to make your opinions facts based on pure ignorance is true stupidity. Even christians know God made things evolve as needed.

in reference to the question, the time and place this scripture occured was when the people of israel were very much consumed with the worst of humanity. God required them to give up all forms of evil in order to inherit the promise of freedom. keep in mind, God could have chosen other people on earth to be his sacred people. He brought them out of bondage, yet they wanted to remain in it.

Isn't it odd that Christian people want their children to believe in something as repulsive as the Bible!

If you were a jew, you would. This IS Gods program for Israel in times past and in ages to come. They signed up for the law program and knew what they were gettin into when they did it.

Today we are not under that program but under GRACE. The fact is that God isnt requiring these things from anyone in this , the dispensation of the GRACE of God and the "preaching of Jesus Christ ACCORDING TO THE REVELATION of the Mystery..." Romans 16:25

We have to be sure we understand what program God is currently IN, so that we can cooperate with Him IN IT.

I , for one, am thankful that God changed programs, arent you?

By the way, evolution IS only a theory, or haven't you heard?

Just as I thot...this question was asked by another disgruntled UNBELIEVER....sigh.

thou shalt NOT kill is the COMMANDMENT. I would not trust ANYTHING that demands you to violate the commandments, be it in the bible or the torah. Who are you to deny a person the chance to rectify their sins? Your own child, for the sake of God?
