Dear God:
I know that I'm a sinner. I deserve Hell. But You sent Jesus to die for my sins. I believe that He died and rose again. I ask you now to forgive my sins, once an for all. I now receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Personal Saviour. Please come into my heart and save me, Help me to know I am saved and live for You, the rest of my life. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

2 Kings 2:22-25
So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake. And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.

And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

And he went from thence to mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria.

I have read numerous posts saying what "Christians" believe and don't believe, and most of them by protestants (who usurp the name "Christian" unto themselves). My questions is: How can you say what Christians believe? Here are some simple facts:

The total number of Christians in the world is: 2.1 billion. This is how it breaks down:

1) Catholics: 1.4 billion
2) Eastern Orthodox: 0.3 billion
3) Protestansts (Baptists, Lutherans, etc. etc): 0.4 billion

In light of these statistics, how can a group that represents less than 25% percent of Christians say what Christians believe? And, more than that, among themselves they argue endlessly because that small group is divided into hundreds of "denominations" who all disagree on doctrines. Yet they claim that the Holy Spirit guides them when they read the Scriptures. The arrogance is stupifying. I really would like to hear someone try to answer this question.

if you want to know what Catholicism is all about, why do you read books and articles that are anti-Catholicism?

why not read books and articles that explain well what Catholicism is really all about, and make sure you understand it perfectly well? that is, if you're really seekers of Truth.

(just so you'd know, I'm not Catholic so don't hate me)

I am doing a research paper on the lives of my family. My great grandmother ran an underground newspaper against hitler, lost two unborn twins when the nazis beat her for it, and helped transfer Jews out of Germany (According to my mother and her accounts of my grandmother). I want to know what life was like for my great grandparents both born in 1910, and for my grandmother born in 1930. Their last name was Ardnt and they left Germany in the 1950's. I can't really find anything on Germans who weren't Jewish or pro-Nazi, at least not on the Internet (I plan to raid the library today). The outline for it is due Monday, so any ideas now would help me a lot. Thank You so Much!

Not to sound ignorant. I am not Christian but i do want to learn as much as i can, so i understand the faith better. education is the only way to go, with out it how can we learn? i wish to learn and so i have to ask questions like this.

I wish that I had been taught in school the basics of all faiths and beliefs. Not a religious class as in where we all worship and pray but a class where they teach us all about each faith and their teachings so when we are older there is less ignorance in the world about others beliefs.

thats just what I would have wished for.

they discourage a person about Catholicism the moment they learn that that person is attempting to convert to Catholicism.

if Bible-fundamentalists think that the Catholic Church is full of lies and falsehood, why don't they trust the person's intelligence to find that out all by himself/herself?

do Bible-fundamentalists think they are smarter than everybody else?

hOW DO WE ACCOMPLISH THIS AND YET STILL REMAIN IN THE NORMAL CATEGORY. I HAVE ALWAYS HAD A VERY FREE SPIRIT AT HEART AND SO NEED TO DRAW SOME PERAMETERS ? THANKS FELLOW BIBLE LOVERS AND BELIEVERS
The Bible talks about our need to strip away the old and put on the new—kind of like re-wallpapering our minds. "Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think" (Romans 12:2). When you know what God says and renew your mind daily to the truth, you start to think differently about God, about yourself, about others, and about life. Every day, as you re-wallpaper your mind with the life-changing words of God, your perspective starts to change.

Society says it is wrong to spank, but the Bible (KJV 1611) says we are to train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. We are also to spare the rod if we want are children to be unruly.
