I understand that the book of Abraham is not included? or held in high regard? ..by the reformed church... can someone set me straight on that. Is all of the racial things said in that book as well?

Thanks, not looking to raise anyone's blood pressure.

thanks for the answer. I was talking about the passages about people being made to have skin that was whiter or blacker...latter changed to the word pure for white. ring any bells? lots of controversy about that one..you don't know about that stuff?

2 Nephi 5:20 Wherefore, the word of the Lord was fulfilled which he spake unto me, saying that: Inasmuch as they will not hearken unto thy words they shall be cut off from the presence of the Lord. And behold, they were cut off from his presence.
21 And he had caused the acursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity. For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become like unto a flint; wherefore, as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my people the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them.
22 And thus saith the Lord God: I will cause that they shall be loathsome unto thy people, save they shall repent of their iniquities.

2 Nephi 30: 6 And then shall they rejoice; for they shall know that it is a blessing unto them from the hand of God; and their scales of darkness shall begin to fall from their eyes; and many generations shall not pass away among them, save they shall be a pure and a delightsome people.

Hope that helps.

BTW, Abraham is in teh Pearl of Great Price. These are from the Book of Mormon.

I'm not sure what passages your referring to exactly.

There is a description of some people in the Book of Mormon that were described as white and delightsome. That's not to say that they were delightsome BECAUSE they were white, but they were delightsome and they happened to be white.

Mormons believe that God the father is our only God.

I'm not sure what you mean by the "reformed church". Clarify please.

We believe in all scripture written by God's Prophets. The Book of Abraham is not more or less important than the other books.

the book of Abraham is in the pearl of great price. it is a separate book from the book of Mormon, but still inspired of God nonetheless. what racial things are you referring to? i have read all the books and I'm not sure exactly what you mean.

and do you mean the rlds as the reformed church? I'm not sure about their stance on anything.
